Funny pic/gif thread...

what is it?

I just changed my avatar because I can't access my FTP site for some reason. What is the thing in my avatar? For background information, I took the picture and there has been absolutely nothing added or subtracted other than cropping the image.

I thought it was that monkey that walks upright that they thought was the missing link. But I don't know how you would have taken a picture of it??

This shot was taken late in the last century. I was on safari deep in the heart of darkest Afri . . . well actually I was on safari deep in the heart of Audubon Zoo next to the orangutan enclosure. I noticed that this long tailed monkey was quite comfortable walking erect and when he strolled back across his area I got this shot. The exotic background is courtesy of the zoo and his tail happened to be out of sight in this image. When I reviewed pictures at home I realized I had seen this same monkey in several "missing link" pictures over the years so I darkened and desaturated the image some, applied a little blur and lowered the quality to give it that grainy newsstand look and there was my own missing link shot.

I'm not sure which monkey you are talking about but I have always found it a little embarrassing that a monkey was brain damaged by a high fever and then took up walking erect! Speaking of walking erect, the researchers now say that man first started walking erect and then came down out of the trees rather than the other way around. Having tried walking erect in a tree after watching one too many Tarzan movies as a child I find this very believable. Coming down out of a tree is a pretty natural result of walking erect in them.

Garfield on the oil crisis

A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in our country.

I had to watch it about 3 times to see the punches! All I could focus on was that guys ear flapping around like he was trying to fly with it or something! That is really strange.:eek:

I like the part where he was getting his face elbowed to death by the d+ fighter at best he was fighting,lol, jk. He needs a ground game to be an mma fighter, til then hes just a good boxer, sorry.
