Fusco's The Spot (smoking allowed - nasty)

I'm sure they would be. The question is whether they understand the impact the second hand cigarette smoke is having on their health.

What do you think, are folks really thinking about it? :)

I think the only reason you want to live to be 104 is so you can keep this thread going. Some places allow smoking & some don't, some people are tall & some aren't... live with it.

Poolmouse is....

POOLMOUSE you are just a complete bafoon and you probly suck at pool and NOBODY CARES WHAT YOU THINK . smoking in a pool room is fine and if you knowing it is a smoking poolroom it is your option to play or not to. but calling a pool room nasty or a dump is out of line . SO HOW ABOUT YOU AND ME GO TO A NON SMOKING ROOM AND PLAY A SET OF WHATEVER YOU WANT AND IF YOU WIN I PAY YOU AND IF I WIN YOU SMOKE A PACK OF CIGARETTES THEN JUMP OUT OF A CAR DOING 100MPH ON i95. THIS WAY WE DONT HAVE TO HEAR THIS NONSENSE EVER AGAIN FROM YOU.

Please make sure that the car passes an emission test first......
....da mouse don't like carbon monoxide fumes.

Pete should be paying for this exposure......any publicity is good.
.....will stop in next time I'm in Philly

There's nothing wrong with free press.

I'm sure smokers and non smokers alike are happy to know that Fusco's The Spot allows smoking.

try this....

If you know there is smoking allowed and you do not smoke... Why the hell would you go to a place that allows smoking?

I am a non-smoker, occasional cigar, but damn i can read a sign, i can walk into a place and know within seconds if i am going to be able to stay.

....and the same people here... Tell others to use the ignore button... Irony...

Jv

very well said but there is exceptions to that way of thinking. If 1 cant find action in your local area and that is hang out for competition and money games leaves you no choice to go where smoking is allowed. True? Been there done it and i don't care to breathe smoke any more.

When NYC passed their no smoking laws the action didn't go away. The smokers simply stepped outside to smoke. There was still plenty of action. Probably more of it, with new non-smoking gamblers coming in.

Many of the top pros don't smoke. Many big gamblers don't smoke either. Its nasty, and indicative of a lack of self control.

most of the old pros that are still alive dont smoke. the ones that do are on the forums asking for money for their health problems.

Unfortunately former smokers are no longer non smokers if they frequent smoking poolrooms like Fusco's The Spot.

Second hand cigarette smoke is just as dangerous as smoking, as Tronpocket (their house man) alluded to earlier in this thread - see post #228. ;)

It comes down to addiction and denial.

Step off your pedestal. It comes down to free will and those willing to exercise it. Its great that you don't want to smoke. You can exercise your free will and walk out of a smoking joint right into a non-smoking place and no one is going to stop you.

I'm a non-smoker, can't stand it. But what I can't stand more is having my property rights stripped as a result of people like you who wish to control the actions of strangers in order to enforce your moral code.

The only person truly living in denial is you. You can choose to go or not go anywhere you want but you shouldn't be afforded the right to exercise your opinions over the top of someone else's business.

There's a reason these places allow smoking. Its what their clients want or the owner/management isn't in tune with what type of establishment would be most profitable. Either way that decision or lack of lies solely with the business owner.

Are you refering to MY addiction and denial? or just the smoking in our room situation.

and what is it i alluded to?

Oh, the irony. Gamblers don't smoke because it's a lack of self control.

So the First Amendment shouldn't apply to discussions regarding Fusco's The Spot exploiting a loophole to endanger the health and well being of their "private club" members? I get it, let's not talk about it so the problem can go away. :)
