Anyone know where I can find a link for the last rack of the WPBA US Open Championships that Corr and Kim played? When Ga Young missed that 9-ball. :(

I've looked all through youtube with no success. Any help would be very appreciated. thanks!

Hey GG,

I'm sure it was an ESPN broadcast, have you tried looking up the episode thru ESPN (I know, it's a pain in the azz). The only other thought is to search for it thru DVR/Tivo and hope it's gonna air in the near future.

I know this isn't much help, but it's all I can come up with.

I spent over 15 minutes trying to find this espn archive. I found their video section but a search for pool and pocket billiards pulled nothing up. Then I googled it and found a "video archive" for espn but there doesn't appear to be a search function.

What am I missing?

Bazooka, I spent my 45 minute lunch hour looking for it. I think any video of Ga Young's miss now sleeps with the fishes or is buried with Jimmy Hoffa...you owe me lunch!!!

Seems like yesterday. Ga Young Kim would have become the first ever unseeded winner of the WPBA US Open had she made that nine ball. Still, she was not exactly under the radar, having made her presence known at the 2002 BCA Open at the Riviera by losing double hill in a match with Allison Fisher.
 
What a drama queen she was there. But she's still one of my favorite women I like to watch play. Johnnyt

I'm just a casual TV viewer, but I have to give her credit for going the extra mile with not one, but three really lackluster shots consecutively. She missed both the 8 and the 9, and when she did pocket the 8, she failed to get position on the 9.

But anyone can have a bad day. Ga Young certainly redeemed herself in subsequent events.
 
My wife and I were ringside for this and later USOpen Corr/Kim finals in Albuquerque. This one was hard to watch again.

she won the event the very next year in the same venue. some people were in tears when she lost and the same people in tears when she won..
 
The whole match is available for free viewership on WPBA.com. You have to sign up for a free account. The title of the match is called: 2003 WPBA Tour Classic Final.
 
Nice to see all the people in the audience. Yeah, a bit dramatic there by GYK following each shot.
