Gabe Owen Thread Removed? Mod please at least give me your thoughts

She ordered a daily double shot soy milk latte grande.

How would you punctuate the above sentence? Commas? Hyphens? Leave it exactly the way it is?

Answer coming tomorrow morning. :D

She ordered a daily, double-shot, soy milk, latte grande. Also, there might be a hyphen between latte and grande, but not necessarily.

Having been a Starbuck's employee, I can only say that you are ordering it incorrectly. There is a very specific method to the ordering process. Most customers get it wrong, but they don't know any better.

i assumed they were all adjectives if daily means every day i am surely wrong

Which is your favorite coffee? Starbucks? Dunkin' Donuts? Tim Horton?

The love of coffee shops can be a regional thing, I have discovered. :)

In Washington State we are known for coffee consumption.Nothing like a cool damp day or ninety for having a good hot mug of strong coffee.

Starbucks is not for me.SBC has or had a good dark roast.I like the the drip coffee that McDonald's serves but I don't care for they're food. Dunkin has good coffee but I am not a doughnut guy.Never heard of Tim Horton. 7-Eleven has good coffee when fresh.

I prefer drip coffee, black or with a bit of cream. Many people like the syrup and such in their joe but to me that is like crushing a doughnut and dumping it in the coffee, wouldn't it be better just to eat a pastry or something while drinking coffee flavored coffee?Sorry for the rant, whatever.

in Europe most pool rooms have espresso machines, dont get any better than that!!!! you can keep all the milky sweet stuff, i love espresso

She ordered a daily double-shot, soy milk, latte grande.

However, I would have said this instead:

She ordered the daily double-shot, soy milk, grande latte.

Or even a better:

I came for coffee, not some foo-foo sissy shit, black with no sugar or cream.

Baseless speculation?

I just watched a new report as i'm sure others did, about the whole thing.

Don't think there is ANY speculation at all.

I'm sorry, but pool players who survive by engaging in criminal activity have only themselves to blame if they get busted and people talk about it.

I guess I find it kinda funny how threads bashing one mans questionable actions (Kevin Trudeau) thrives, while another thread containing only information about another mans possibly questionable actions comes to a screeching halt? This is a pool players forum, so it's ok to go wild on somebody that has shafted the pool community, but if somebody from our beloved pool community may have strayed, we go into sweep it under the rug mode?

Punctuation isn't the problem. The sentence is poorly worded.

Did she order this drink every day? If so, it should read:

She ordered a double-shot, soy milk, grande latte every day.

(note that the above sentence switches "latte grande" to the correct "grande latte"; latte is the noun and should come last)

In any case, she's paying $5 for a friggin' cup of coffee so I don't even expect her to know how to spell coffee.

Daily, she would order a grande double-shot, soy milk latte.

Where do I collect my Kewpie doll?

She ordered a daily double shot soy milk latte grande.

I'll respect the decision of the mods to remove the thread. Seems Gabe may be in big trouble with the law, but like most others here on the forum, I hope the allegations against Gabe prove false. We'll find out soon enough.

Did KT's actions affect the pool world?

Did Gabe's alleged actions affect the pool world?

See a difference?

Mike

If the customer is the one giving the money to you, for the product that you sell, then as long as you understand what they want, they got it right (and should not be corrected)... no matter what order they put their words in. Until Starbucks posts ordering instructions in the store, then there is no "method" or "ordering process."

We don't want a Soup Nazi pouring our coffee...

Mike,

I see your point. However, I've always considered AZ to be a source of information. That information has always been about equipment, education, tournament results, match up results, missing cues, anybody heard of, best tips, CTE, how would you play this, identify this, looking for that, and "what happened to Gabe?"
Unless that thread took a serious turn towards serious bashing this afternoon, all I saw were answers to the question "What happened to Gabe?"

I certainly agree with your logic Mike..I wish the thread had never been started...But once it had, it obviously steamrolled..As you see, it spang up again, and now, all the positive posts, in Gabe's defense (I'd say 95% in the original thread) that were supportive of him, are now gone !.. Is that better, or worse, than letting the post run its course ?

And, why can't you learn to stamp out these pesky little fires, with your bare feet !...
