A little birdie told me that these two will be teeing it up today at Mr. Cues at around 3. It is a 10 ahead set for 5K with Chris getting the last 2. What does everyone think of this match up?

Gabe doesn't have a chance with that spot.

he doesnt??? well sir, i will take 3 to 1 and bet $100 on him, you know, since he doesnt have a chance... i dont think Gabe has the nuts or anything like that but he certainly has a chance.

I assume it is on a big track, 9 ball or 10?

Last 2 won't show up too much with these two.

I like Gabe in the short haul, but the longer the set goes, the more I think Bartram has the edge.

I agree with you there. It goes long, I think the pendulum swings pretty far over to Chris.

Of course it could be over in an hour. I have not seen either of them for a couple of months so I don't know who the favorite is right now. If Gabe has been hitting it hard he can be dangerous.

I think that chris has a slight edge, playin even. He's been in the box recently, mixing it up for good money recently, so I think he will go in with a mental advantage too.

Although, at this level, the spot is not huge, but it will come into play with early combinations, perhaps 1 game in 10. Also, gave has to play perfect from the 7 out. Ironically, I don't think the spot will come into play until after the 1st set, and chris is forced to renegotiate. LOL

How do you get an "early combo" with the last two???

I was wondering that same thing...

Any combo getting the last would result in the person making the cheese:D :D Maybe this guy does not know what "last two" means. I will be pulling for Gabe and will also take a 3 to 1 sweat bet if someone is interested.

Sweat bet

3 to 1 on a sweat bet. I understand the "doesn't have a chance," but 3:1 for little money???

No hassle, I just don't understand. I don't care either way, I'll sweat $20 even, either way. 1 set only, you pick your horse.

Also, anyone have an over/under on how long set 1 will last?

Egads

Last two at this level is nothing more than a joke and a smile. If it becomes a 'factor' in 1 game I would be surprised, and Gabe will get out 100% of the time when he is on the 7 provided it is his shape on the 7.

I don't know, I got the impression it was on a bar box. Gabe has been idle for quite some time in the tournament realm, don't know about the gambling realm, that's kind of how it goes when a certain woman comes into your life ... LOL Evidently though, Gabe has decided to get back on the horse, and this match seems to be the real starter for doing that.

I don't Bartram, so I really don't know how good he plays.

This could be intresting. The looser the table, the more I like Gabe.

I sweated he Chris and David G match in Dallas and infact bet pretty good on David. Chris didn't play fawlessly, but I only aw him miss one ball and that was a very easy shot where he miscued.

Gabe may have been idle for a while, buthe has been around a long time nd knows how to handle that. The last two is a joke and may come into play les than 5% of the time

Gabe had better geta handl on this vry early though and not lose focus. Chris is ough when he gets in the lead.

This couldbe ver intresting.

I would think it's the opposite Lewis, the tighter the table the more of an advantage for Gabe. When he won the US Open, it was on tight tables because he has a great safety game and plays very smart. If he's out of stroke though, it might be easier for him to run some racks on the looser tables.

Well, the 'last two' can't be determined until the 'last three', but if Chris is breaking and makes two balls on the snap, he only has to run six balls....

Sweat bet

Still looking for a sweat bet. You pick your player. $20.

Gives me a reason to check the box score.
