What happened to this guy?!?! I’ve been watching a few matches on YouTube with George and man can he play!!

Excuse me if this thread has been done before but I’m very curious to wonder what happened to him when he was playing jam up during the early nineties.

He has such a great break and cue ball control!! Just an overall great player👍👍

George was, indeed, an elite player and possessed one of the best breaks in the world in the late 1990's. He was,
I believe, a top ten ranked player on CJ Wiley's PCA Tour back then.

In the aftermath of his playing days, he focused on his outdoor furniture business and made a big success of it.

He's still an action player and, most years, he can be found matching up at Derby City.

I'm very proud to count him as a friend. He's a quality guy for sure.

I believe he got hit in the eye by a rock from a lawnmower in a freak accident at a driving range that took him out of top form. I'm sure someone out there has the details.

Years ago he came through Clearwater trying to match up with Bubba. I was on break from FSU and working at the pool room when he casually walked in and asked to play some cheap 9 Ball for $30 or $40 a game. Bubba wouldn’t take the bait for some reason so George played the owner some one pocket and lost a couple of games and then beat a guy out of $500 or so playing nine ball. The funny thing was his shaft was bent all to hell. He showed up in this Winnebago with a muscle head with no neck and stayed a couple days to see if Bubba would change his mind but it never happened.

A couple of weeks later I was back at school and the Winnebago showed up at Pastimes. I quickly steered George to the two biggest asshats who loved losing their daddy’s money. They both played for the FSU golf team and thought they were the best college players in town so when George offered them the 6 and last 3 or something like that they thought they had the nuts. George beat them out of everything dollar they had, one set of golf clubs and a couple of cues. So yea, that dude could play. Really nice guy too.

I saw Breedlove beat a young Karl Boyes in Chelmsford, MA to earn one of the second of two IPT tour cards at one of the IPT qualifiers back in 2006. (Warren Kiamco went undefeated in that qualifier to win the first card. A very young Wu Chia Ching was also at that qualifier but wasn't lucky enough to win one of the two cards.)

Didn't hear any news from Breedlove since the IPT folded.

I only saw George Breedlove play once. He was playing Joe Frady in the finals of a McDermott Tour tournament in the mid-1990s. Breedlove came from the loser’s side, so he had to beat Frady twice. He struggled the first set, but he hung in there and managed to beat Frady. He got in stroke in the second set and beat Frady rather handily. Talk about heart.

You can watch the Bolm video recently, and you'll see George carring Carl's money bag for him.

Here he is/Reno during his years with Janette.
