Updated photos of cue delivered in vegas!!

Hey Bob, here is a preview for you. All the white is ivory. The barbells are made of copper, brass, copper. When the finish is on they really pop. Looking forward to the show.

The owner gave me permission to show the whole setup on the public forums. The photos do not show the copper and brass inlay in the barbells. They really pop in person.

That's a real nice cue, those fleur de lis inlays could stab someone blind with those sharp points... can't wait to see the cue finished.

Hey Chris,

I love everything about your design in ebony on ebony, it's money man!!

Your bridged points are alway flawless, I dig them.

Rick

Thanks everyone. It will have an elephant ear wrap. I just got done shooting the first coat of clear on the cue tonight. It is looking good. I did alot of expirmentation before inlaying the barbells on this cue. This is the 3rd one using the combo of copper and brass together. I really like the color and pop it gives off.
I tried some mock ups using black and other colored papers to give more color separation between the materials but it just did not look right. It looked more like glue lines so I scrapped that idea. I also tried cutting a faint zig zag pattern with a 60deg cutter across the surface .003 deep and it gives it an interesting faceted look. I will play with that a little more in the future to see if I can come up with a pattern and look I like. I also want to try machine turning (spiral buffed circles) but that also will have to be for another day.
I hope to see everyone out in vegas next month at the show. If you have not been you need to come out and see some of the best cue collections in the world!

Wow Chris!!! What's not to love about this cue! The bridged veneers...the rings...the inlays...all parts of this one are spectacular!!!

Will wouldent know what to do with himself.
Steve. I will get some up tonight or tomorrow. It is looking sharp.

I've seen some of Chris's work up close and although I have not seen this cue you can rest assured it will be stunning in person.

I just shot another coat tonight. I snapped a few quick pics with my phone. It does not pick up the color of the barbells well

Who is "Bob"?

Chris,

I don't know which "Bob" you meant but this cue is looking very good indeed.

Bob
