Going price for Ivory ferrules

I also charge $50 with a standard tip (Lepro-Triangle-Elk Master) or $75 for a Moori of choice.

We all know that the ivory blanks are $20 to $25 not drilled or tapped.
It seems $50 to $60 with a Triangle or Lepro tip is about the going price installed.
Considering the risk of cracking one during drilling, tapping, and polishing I think that is a reasonable price.

This is where I buy mine

Cue compentents $15.00

These are our same high quality Ivory Ferrule blanks that we sell. These are drilled and tapped 5/16-18 and 3/4" deep with an overall length of 1.065". They're ready to install as all the work has been done for you. They're faced off smooth and even, drilled and tapped to perfection with a glue relief hole. We'll even supply the red fibre padding

Me no like tapping ivory ferrules.

Not worth the time to live tool thread the ferrule. Drilling though makes me think of the dentist. That in itself is enough reason to charge a premium.

So ballpark, add $150 for 2 Ivory ferrules on a new cue?

Take this a little farther, how much for an Ivory joint? Then how much for an Ivory 1 1/4" butt cap. Just trying to determine an approximate number for a cue with these Ivory components.

never had any problems with center drilling, drilling and tapping ivory ferrules. havent cracked one yet. knock on woood. ill give odds the next one i do cracks bc i said that..lol. thats just the wat life keeps us honest.

15.95 tapped is a great price. HOWEVER, with the double charging, poor customer service and horror stories ive hear about wood purchased from there ill give atlas my 20$

I guarantee that will happen Dave. I recently said I'd never had a cue move on me and I just had one that moved during finishing and another one I just gave up on that I couldn't keep straight.

If I based my purchasing decisions on negative posts on AZ, there probably wouldn't be a place I would be able to buy anything. When I first started out, I bought everything from Cue Components, Chris Hightower and Atlas. I buy much less from them now, but I have never received anything but excellent customer service from all of them.

As for the double charging, I always hear people coplaining about from Cue Components or Atlas, it has never happened to me. Maybe my bank doesn't allow it or maybe I just haven't noticed.
