Deadpoked, thanks for the welcome back. Have actually been back in Baghdad for a week now, but too bummed out to post. The game room at home really rocked, and the family and I spent a lot of time together in there. It really did suck coming back.

I asked the PX why they sell condoms last time I was there and they said because of "the civilian population that don't need to concern themselves with general order 1." And who cares about the poker game in the open? You are prior military right? I pride myself on integrity and always trying to do the right thing, no matter how stupid that might seem. The military doesn't care about me gambling stateside, so I do. All of this doesn't really matter anyways, as I said before, I am going to be pretty F'ing busy over there. I look forward to visiting Camp Victory again so I can go to the awesome chow hall and hit up their smoothy bar! I do hope to meet up with you and grab a bite to eat, but don't count on any pool action from me. On a seperate note, I am happy to hear about your new game room..... you're starting to make me jealous.:D
 
Easy, no worries if you want to get together for some friendly games.. Trust me, I know how stress can affect your game. In this sort of environment, there is enough stress, and trying hard to win just makes it worse..

And you're right.. the main chow hall in Victory is a sight to behold.. I used to work in Al Faw palace a few years ago..

As far as the integrity thing goes, you know Richard Nixon paid for a lot of his first political race with poker winnings?

I hope i am at Victory, but rumor has it I will be at a FOB, and only going to Victory occassionally to get new robots when ours get blown up. I loved the mongolian BBQ at the chow hall, it was a nice meal after days of MRE's.
 
Man.......Best of luck to you Eric and I hope the time there passes fairly quickly. A lot of guys dread having to be deployed but you are probably one of the crazy bastards that will enjoy getting to go over there and blow shit up. We will hook up sometime when you get back and I will treat us to a few suds. I wish you the best and take care of yourself.

Umm first place was a compact CD player and 2nd was a 1 hour full body massage. I had just got back from Iraq on my way home... you do the math :D

September is good second weekend at Randolphs in Hickory and third weekend at Breakers in Rock hill I think but I'll be at the Palace in August also.--Leonard
