I forgot to mention....I know this girl! Her name, believe it or not, is Bambi! We went through EOD school together. I hit on her constantly, but she avoided me like the plague and now has a restraining order. I'm not allowed within 1000 feet of her at any time

fixed it for you... ;)

Be safe bro....

Thank you & stay safe.

I really believe the bad guys haven't done anything in the USA for a while because soldiers like yourself are keeping them busy over there.

Best of Luck

If anyone has noticed, I haven't been around the forums very much lately. I just got my orders to Baghdad and will be leaving soon. I will do my best to log on when I can, but I don't expect too much computer time. I am scheduled to get back around the end of May and will do my best to keep anyone that cares updated. I should be around for the next week or so if anyone has any questions. Maybe if I get a chance I will match up with Russ:D I hope to join you all again when I return.

ERIC
Hay man please keep yourself safe over there. Find someone to help watch your back as you will theirs. It will help a lot. I wish you the best of luck and pray that you have a safe return. Even though i have never met you i consider you a friend and hope one day to have a the pleasure of meeting you and playing some pool. Again GOOD LUCK and BE SAFE, Doug.

This is one of those cases that you are allowed to sing "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Be safe Eric. I know nothing of bomb disposal but would suggest remote control at the furthest distance possible. :) Take care get home soon.

Thanks everybody! You guys are awesome.

There might be some awesome people on this board but they're not World Champions at being a BAD ASS as yourself!

You've been a lawyer, doctor, venture capitalist, freestyle rapper, professional pool player, world class poker player, and you can you can defuse bombs? I dare to ask the question... is there anything Eric cannot do? BOLD question.

Hmm... possibly score with middle-aged asian card dealing lady even on the promise of a steak dinner?

Well said. FYI, she wasn't really my type!

What are the dates for that? My schedule just changed, I will be home all of September and then I leave.

I am not in the Green Zone, I am in the IZ, Embassy compound. If you can, look me up when you get here. The outdoor tables have gotten pretty much unplayable in the last few months. There are some barboxes in decent condition at the KBR compound very close to me.

If you get stationed at Victory base, I have heard there is a Filipino over there gambling high and giving big spots. In my year over here, I haven't seen one other person with a stroke. It'd be nice if we could hook up, because my game has gotten extremely rusty from not playing anyone.

Let me know on here when you find out exactly where you'll be. Everyone likes your side of it, and you've been playing bunches lately, so I'll take the 7 and the breaks.. :D

He's ALIVE! And of course he is already trying to get weight from some poor enlisted guy who can barely hit the rail on a good day. Russ you should be giving up major weight and giving him 2 to 1 on his money. You're only making 7 times what he will be making over there. I guess it's fair that you sit inside the air conditioner all day while he is out risking his life searching for IED's.

Welcome back Russ :D

Calm down everybody! It is true though, I won't have much time over there to play....last time I worked 13 days on/one day off.....13 hour days. Pool will not be my priority there, but if I have time I will stop by. Also, gambling is as illegal over there as sex and alcohol, so that is out for me as well. Maybe we can get together for a non-alcoholic Coors!!!

Deadpoked,

You already mentioned how easy-e drilled you in Qatar. And, he has mentioned playing a $400 set on some guy and running three packs. He can definitely hit the end rail.

Easy, gambling may be against the rules, but there is a NLHE game out in the open every night of the week in multiple locations here in Baghdad. As far as sex, heck.. They sell condoms in the PX, don't they? And no, I am not propositioning you! :D

Deadpoked, thanks for the welcome back. Have actually been back in Baghdad for a week now, but too bummed out to post. The game room at home really rocked, and the family and I spent a lot of time together in there. It really did suck coming back.
