I'd never noticed there is actual gold coloring in those Gold Crown name plates, especially on the little crown logo, I've never seen one clean enough to make it out!

I have never seen a GC with that label above the ball tray...

Appears to be a gem - but things aren't always as they appear!

You never know until you see it but when I see another Pool Table in the background, I begin to think that I am dealing with a table flipper.

What's the other table in the background? Is he going to sell the Gold Crown and set up the cheap table?

Dang dang dang,,, I has the money,,, just don't have the space.

I wish I knew someone close that would let me have this installed in their house...

The downside of a small row home...

yeah the extra slate intrigued me as well. Flipper or not, you can't fake that name plate or formica condition.

I don't think this is a flip. I love to see statements like "I will include a set of balls and cues with chalk and cue repair kit". The more vague and amateur the description and accessories are, the better the deal is going to be!

good point.

From the looks of the picture, the table is way too big for the room. Maybe that is the motivator. Get a smaller table.

I agree with this as a general proposition, but the tournament blue cloth made me think this was a serious player.

Formica and plastic are materials that are discouraged in my home. It's strange to me that some like that kind of thing, but differing opinions makes the world go round...

Unfortunately I'm in the midst of buying and selling a house right now. A Gold Crown 1 in that color combo is what I'm after for the new home. That table would make a great restoration project. The next trick would be getting it Corbraized.

It is not the formica and plastic that motivates players to want a Gold Crown.

The sad truth is Brunswick table design "froze" in the 1950s with the GC, shame it wasn't with the earlier Anniversary, Sport King , et al.
