Gold Crown time capsule - part 1

I had a GC1 10-foot snooker table that had slates dated in 1959. Is that unusual?

Not at all, slates are manufactured separate from the pool tables and the Anniversary as well as the Centennial snooker tables used the same snooker slates as the GC and 2 10' snooker tables.

for all the hullabalu I hear about the diamonds I'll bet 50 years from now there won't be any restorations that look as good as this one or will play as well either.

Why would you have to restore the Dymondwood' rails and skirts, they don't wear like laminate rails do:cool:

Neoprene?

I'd put something in the bottom where the ball drop meets the cork. The cork always starts coming apart.

From a noise standpoint...could neoprene be a decent alternative to the cork in the ball box?

Anyone tried this?

Man....what a setup...many congratulations.
