Russ I saw Sparky give a guy at Gradys the snaps, the 6, and the last 3. The guy quit after two games. And from what I saw of both of your games you probably wouldn't have liked playing that guy even.
I think you could get that game from Sparky.

Grady is a wild one for his age. No offense. I was playing a tourn in Alabama and he was on the next table over in a match. I heard him say something that sounded like fighting words and just proceeded to shoot my next shot. Then it got so loud I had to stop and look over only to see Grady rush this guy "who looked about early 30's and in shape" and attempts to tackle him to the ground. Couple of chairs fell over and they were goin at it, I think he got Grady to the floor and Grady was kicking up at him and then some people jumped in and broke it up. Grady still yellin at the guy calling him a cheat or something. I was stunned to see this coming from Grady. He must have been wild in his early 20's and 30's.. I talked to him shortly once at the tournament he ran years ago at the casino in Mississippi and he seemed ok to me. There was also this pretty lil girl helping out with the tourn which I later came to find out was his daughter. Once again I was stunned as I would of lost the farm betting she wasn't his daughter. She was good looking and well Grady is Grady.

Nah. What I meant is that barring a few days at DCC....... I haven't played anyone but bangers in a year and a half. And even then, it was maybe ten games..

OK you got me. I haven't posted since DCC. Just lurking. I'm no big fan of Grady's but I've watched from afar for over 30 years. I will remind you of a saying I learned in the Pool Room. "Show me a good loser & I'll show you a loser" Or to say at least someone who's had lots of practice at it.
We 'Pool Players" are people with much passion. Been there done that.
I once accused someone of bunk racking me (on decibal 10) When I doubt anyone in the room new what a bunk rack was. (cept me)

I played that tournament in Mobile where Grady rushed that guy. It was a guy from Chattanooga. And you are right. Grady's daughter must look like her Mother
.I like Grady, but he does lose it pretty easily on occasion. And his tournaments are OK, except in his tournaments you have to play by his rules that he has made up that he thinks are better for the game.
He's like alot of sports celebs. You either love him or hate him.

yeah, I will agree that Grady's daughter is Haawwttt. She needs to be in Athens in a couple of weeks. Make it happen Mike. That is your only assignment for the next two weeks.

I think Grady has done ALOT for the sport of pool, especially one pocket and 14.1, games that do not have alot of recognition and support among even regular pool players. Grady's tournaments payout what they say they will, he doesnt do any shenanigans with the cash and while he does have specific rules that sometimes differ from the norm, they are usually spelled right out both on flyers and at the players meeting.
Grady has alot of passion for the sport and it shows. He doesnt sit passively by and let someone move on him. Your second paragraph, where you said "won't get you very far". Guy has 9 posts and already 2 squares, so somebody's been hitting him w/ rep.
So we have a 4 time World One Pocket Champions, room owner, tournament director, pool promoter, author and video maker who was run off AZB by someone who thinks they've done the pool world a service. No wonder our great sport is in the shape it's in.
And now you have someone else (who in all probability is already a registered user here), get another screen user name so they could HIDE, for the sole purpose of degrading someone who has lived & breathed pool!
Somebody who has a real beef doesn't play hide & seek behind fake names on a forum. At least a real man doesn't do things that way....
The part about being the "worst loser" & "worst run tournament" OF ALL TIME showed quick that it was a BS post not to be believed.
It's somebody who is probably just as miserable to those around him as he is inside.

I also strongly agree with your last line, only I would want to be able to deal with them face to face. Too many here are too brave when they can hide behind fake names and there are untold miles between them and others. I was always a big fan of being up close and personal.
The name IGMO-COLUMBIA will probably just go away and who posted this will go back to their real screen name. Jokes on us I guess. We'll never even know who she was or what she looked like. At least she got the attention she craved for posting like she did.
