Griff's in Las Vegas

Matthew McConaughey, gets hired to do a Lincoln Mercury car commercial, involving a pool table and a trick shot as a prop in the commercial, designed to get the attention of the audience to focus on the quality and gracefullness of the LINCOLN CAR, just like how smooooth the balls rolled around the table, dropping in the pockets!

AZB members, who don't make up .0001% of the targeted market that commercial was intended to reach, ONLY saw the pool table, balls, Matthew McConaughey, and wanted to know if he gambles, and could give him the 5 and out, bet high with all his money! The typical trash talk of this pool playing audience! Wow, its no wonder why the thread topics have slowed down drastically, because without the members a lot of you have chased off, THOSE members can't find anything worth while to talk about....good job!

It's no wonder threads get derailed so easy in the main forum, most of you don't even understand the topics being talked about, BUT you know how to jump on people, and bring in conversations that have NOTHING to do with the topic at hand.

Just watch and see, the gloom and doom posters fail to see this is what entertainment is about, GRIFFS IS A STAGE, without locations to broadcast from, there wouldn't be ANY Bar Rescue shows!!

Now bring it on guys, come derail this thread!!!

Most of the things Taffer goes in and corrects are kinda obvious, but the owners either can't afford it or are actually oblivious to it.

Like the cleanup items, pests, cross contamination of food, serving spoiled food... those things are not great mysteries... you need to know them just to get through life, let alone owning and operating a business.

Marketing, rebranding, overhauls and facelifts, that's another thing...

A lot of the times in the past shows, the place gets a new name... is this now no longer Griff's?
Marcus Lemonis is world's ahead of this guy when it comes to rehabbing a failing business and he puts his money (and lots of it) where his mouth is.

So, hoax here, real for the rest of the world, got it.
Hoax? Tell that to the families of the over 600,000 who have died from it in the USA or the over four million worldwide. See what they say. I've had two friends blow it off as no big deal until they caught it last year. Both of them ended up on a ventilator and were lucky to survive (they had money for the best medical care). I had it myself and it's no joke. By far the sickest I've ever been in my life and a harrowing six weeks before it subsided. This was early on in February when no one really understood what was going on. Thank God for my wife and her Philippine remedy's. Hot ginger tea with zinc powder all day long kept me breathing and I learned to lay on my belly to sleep. I probably should have gone to the hospital but I was afraid I would die there.

M Griffin can do what he wants. It is his business. I have watched Bar Rescue a couple of times. No matter what the circumstances are, I would never put my business and staff through the degradation and humiliation of that show. If survival is at stake, there are many other constructive options. There are plenty of ways to get positive media attention.
Right on Paul. I would never tell anyone how to run their business! And I never let anyone tell me how to run mine. Kind of worked out well for twenty two years that way!

What does it take to get people to realize its a show, designed for entertainment for the viewers. If anyone really knows Mark, then you MUST know Griffs isn't in trouble!!
Yes it is a show. In many ways it parallels the Jerry Springer and Maury Povich shows, appealing to the lower human emotions. I am not watching it. It is more crude garbage. And furthermore, I don't know nor do I care if Griff's is in trouble. I don't "MUST know" anything.

You're NOT in that crowd that MUST know everything going on pool related😅

My problem with these shows is they always go for shock value .
And it is degrading often as you mentioned .
And , almost often, it degrades the owner for letting the things they blow out of proportion happen.
They're gonna for roaches, rats , ants , and all kinds of infestation for shock value . Who'd want to back to the place after that ? Not saying, they do it all the time .
And they always like pitting people against each other for tv conflict .
Conflicts are always the hook in stories . Specially in these "reality" shows .

I wish the place the best . I will surely drop by when I visit Vegas in October .

I'm pretty sure (not 100 percent) that Steve Markle is the one who did the trick shots for the Lincoln car commercial that Matthew McConaughey was in. We had a thread on it some years back.

You're a 100% right, and that's the thread I'm talking about🤣

You don't die from it, you die with it.

Threads get derailed when you come in trying to explain how everything really works. Pay attention.

If you didn't make your comments, the other comments would dry up quickly. Which came first, the instigator or the peanut gallery?
The peanut gallery, its ALWYS on AZB, just waiting on someone to post, and draw out the likes of you and everyone else in your click, don't matter WHO posts!

I know it's hard for you, but if you don't like what I post....don't respond, its really that simple😉

Yes Steve Markle was the one who shot that masse shot in the video. The actual video that focuses on Steve is on Lincoln's youtube channel. That video is Steve doing trickshots to help explain features of the new SUV. I was actually in the running to be featured in this commercial but Steve beat us out. Something about having a younger look. lol

What do you remember about the Lincoln?
