Growing Bolder

The last 11 years he has been personally handcrafting the best hitting pool cue on the market. August of 2005 has brought Sigel out of full retirement to Play Professionally for the International Pool Tour; at the World Championship in Las Vegas to win the tournament and take home $150,000.00 . His focus today is to play and promote the new tour.

Give me a break.

:wink:Arent you glad you have a short time to correct the title?

I swear when I first read it, I thought it said "Growing Balder." Of course, that's what I had in the original title. Thank goodness this forum's software allowed me to correct that. :embarrassed2: He is growing balder, which is why I did not question the title originally.

Six guys in that photo, and only one has a full head of hair. I think your original title was correct also. :D

Lol ... just in case (I know it would be a million to one shot) Mike might come on to post on AZB let's trash him as much as possible to make sure that doesn't happen. Then we can start a new thread entitled, "How come pros don't ever post on AZB?" :yikes:

I was mislead also. Thought it was from our Chamber of Commerce :welcome:

What is he referring to when making this statement for the camera?

06 - 8 Million in Prize money, 07 - 20 Million, and in 08, 50 Million in prize money.

Is he referring to tournaments that he has put on or his actual winnings.
Cause I seriously doubt that there was 78 Million in Prize money to be had ever in Pool.

A person should be careful on Public Brag like that or the IRS might perk up their ears.

"Mike, you earned 78 Million in just 3 years, how come we don't know about that"?

I doubt that Wayne Gretzki earned that much in 3. Geez, everyone would be playing Pool.

Mike was great player

In the 80s he was the first person I ever heard of stringing 9 racks in a row, many now make that claim but I saw Sigel do it. Hope he decides to make a comeback even though it wouldn't be cost effective .

Thanks JAM

Thanks for posting this, JAM. Despite his immodest personage, Mike Sigel was the first real dominating force in pool when I got interested in the pro pool world. In 2005 or 2006, I think he had some idea of starting and perpetuating a nationwide pool league which could offer millions in prizes and perhaps earnings too, but maybe it was just another idea that couldn't get off the ground. I really don't know what happened to that, but I remember seeing an interview where he talked about it. Regardless of whether you like him or not, he was a great champion in straight pool. As in Earl's case, I just admire the talent and disregard the personalities.

This video is from 2005. Sigel is talking about the future prospects for the IPT, not his own winnings.
