The last 11 years he has been personally handcrafting the best hitting pool cue on the market. August of 2005 has brought Sigel out of full retirement to Play Professionally for the International Pool Tour; at the World Championship in Las Vegas to win the tournament and take home $150,000.00 . His focus today is to play and promote the new tour.

Cause I seriously doubt that there was 78 Million in Prize money to be had ever in Pool.

In the 80s he was the first person I ever heard of stringing 9 racks in a row, many now make that claim but I saw Sigel do it. Hope he decides to make a comeback even though it wouldn't be cost effective .

Thanks for posting this, JAM. Despite his immodest personage, Mike Sigel was the first real dominating force in pool when I got interested in the pro pool world. In 2005 or 2006, I think he had some idea of starting and perpetuating a nationwide pool league which could offer millions in prizes and perhaps earnings too, but maybe it was just another idea that couldn't get off the ground. I really don't know what happened to that, but I remember seeing an interview where he talked about it. Regardless of whether you like him or not, he was a great champion in straight pool. As in Earl's case, I just admire the talent and disregard the personalities.
