While we all have our crosses to bear and some of them are quite heavy, I thought it might be nice to express some of the pool things we can be thankful for.
Last night just after midnight, I was giving up the nuts to a new competitor/friend/player whose speed I had not fully gauged and had lost two sets at $50 a set. Normally I don't give up weight to anyone playing nine ball but we were practicing and we were playing even up and I was rolling over him. He wanted to gamble if I would give him the eight ball and I asked him if he would like the 8 ball for fun and he said no. When we started playing the races to 9 with him getting the weight he was running over me. I guess he picked up a little speed for the cash. He was beating my brains in (it wasn't even close) and I couldn't understand why but was determined to get my money back, so I played one more set double or nothing found a way to win that one and at least broke even for the cash. It was the start of Happy Thanksgiving.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF YOU!
