Happy Thanksgiving to All

Thanks, Arnot! I'm having wild turkeys this year!

Hey Ryan, did you get those in the front yard or the rear?

Dick

Heh Dick,

I have a little over a dozen in both my front yard and rear. But I think I will let them just keep on grazing in the grass. Here in Montana, the breast meat is good --- not like your butterball turkey taste --- sort of gamey. The wings are just plain tuff from all the flapping--- but they sure are pretty watching them fly up 60 to 80 feet into a jack pine when they are scared.

Between hunting and fishing, I dont see how you get any cue work done!

Just giving you a hard time.

I really like seeing those little kids with their first deer pictures, the kids are always smiling EAR to EAR!

My dad farms quite a bit of ground in Indiana, he had a stretch where he hit 6 deer in 5 years. Needless to say, he is a fan of hunters everywhere!

About 10 years ago I house sat for a friend who went to Chili for a week. This guy had a very large house in a very expensive, secluded area, outside of Cincinnati, on a hill top overlooking the Ohio river. On the back of the split-level house was a set of sliding glass doors that went out onto a flag stone walkway with a canted flag stone retainer wall. He had a barrel of bird seed and every day would put out seed for the birds. I slept on a couch in this room and woke up one morning and there was about 10 or so turkeys on this walkway half of which were just standing there looking through the glass and watching me sleep. I set up my camera on a tri-pod but they never returned after this.
