Looking for the hardest leather tip on the market as of now and came across Samsara jump break tips and Talisman BK tips. Heard alot of good things from Samsara jump break tips but anyone try out the Talisman BK tips?
Make your own, it is a lot cheaper and all you need are some Le Pro tips and a table mounted Vise. Soak the tip in water for around 30 min, and then place it in vise centered and tap it tight with a hammer. Over a five day period tap it another half turn while never releasing the pressure.
That will be a hard tip, and I doubt you will find any harder.
Thanks for all the sugestions, i have a BK tip from my last talisman tip order but i think i'll play around with some Lepro's first and if i fail at that just use the BK
Mueller has a TIP HARDNESS chart on their web-site
This is nowhere near the hardness of crocodile foreskin.......Seriously I have never seen or been in a situation that a le pro tip wasn't adequate. I burnish them with some water and a match book or whatever by rotating them and it hardens the sides up nicely so the tip holds shape for a long. I quit trying to be good years ago so now I play mainly in situations where I can run the cue ball around mad without having someone make me eat it so I play more english then anyone should and again the le pro has never let me down.In honor of a deceased AZB member Tom "Oldhasbeen" Ferry I'll give you his expert choice of best tip. Rhino fore skin tip taken directly by african natives from a living rhino.
Jerry Powers ( Jerico Cues ) that made the Stinger has a new leather tip to replace his phenolic tip. I just had Jerry replace my tip because of the rules for tips and it still jumps very good.
