Hey guys. I'm alive...barely. Just had another CT scan that showed the Boop is gone from my lungs...just have horrible scar tissue now. The lung specialist says its possible for it to return so I have to stay on the medication for now and keep a close monitor of my lung function. I go back the week of Thanksgiving for another scan and hopefully all is still well. He just gave me clearance to return to work slowly. I have to wear a respirator the entire time I'm in the shop and he doesn't want me spraying any clear just yet. Scarey part is they aren't sure what caused this....the clear or toxic wood dust. I will say its so nice to be able to finally breathe again. For many months my blood oxygen level was in the 80's (very dangerous) so I had to have tubes up my nose 24/7. Finally now my blood oxygen level is in the mid 90's. Ideal is 98 to 99 if you are healthy.
I've got an absolute ton of pm's & emails to sort through, I'll get to everyone soon as possible. As well I have plenty of past due work to catch up on. I have a deal in place with another cuemaker to clear my cues for me so cues will start shipping shortly. This had been an absolute nightmare...the doctors told me I'm lucky to be alive that they have lost many patients to much lesser pneumonia's. I don't mind telling you the other side of this...after finally being released from the hospital I was stuck in bed with the tubes & wires for several months while my lungs healed. Not being able to work I very nearly lost our home. I basically had to sell everything I own to stay out of foreclosure & take care of my family. No matter how many hours my wife worked she simply couldn't cover everything. With many prayers, we managed.
I would like to thank everyone for their well wishes & prayers. Thanks too to those of you that sent get well cards...that was a pleasant surprise and greatly appreciated. Thank you as well to all my customers for their patience and support during this rough time. I will work through this and be back up to speed shortly.
Best,
KV
