After buying and trying many cues I think that I have finally found the cue that I have been searching for. I just picked up a Bender and feel that it is the cue for me.

The problem is I am still like looking at other cues and always checking out the for sale section, cuemakers, and cue sellers sites . I guess it is a habit and addiction.

Have any of you found a cue that is your "magic feather"?

What is it?

Do you still keep looking and buying?

You also ...

Have just described the same problem men have with women .... LOL

I have a Wayne Holmes coco and ebony 8 pointer I can't seem to put down. Its like an extension of my arm. Its going to take something real special to get me to switch.

Yes, and Yes.

I found my "magic feather" in both my Black Boar and Bender cues. Hasn't slowed me down one bit, though....I still constantly look for new cues to get and try out.

Of all the cues I've had, though....the Black Boar and Bender are my favorites.

There will always be room, though, for one more!! :)

Schon forever. I've owned a few, sold them, shot with other cues, and always came back. From now on, I won't even consider buying another cuemaker's cue.

Amen, brother! I've had a love affair with Schon since the first ball I hit with one.

You know it's funny, Book, how we're all different.
I've wanted a Bender for a long time & then when
I bought one, I didn't like the hit at all.
Right now I love Kikel & Olney & really like Mottey,
Scruggs, Schuler, Shurtz, and Dale Perry.
But, to answer your question, yes, I'm still looking.
I keep wondering what about Schick, Harris, Gilbert?
It's called obsessed with cues.

This might not be obvioius to all of you, but how about those who have found a 'magic cue', but don't feel comfortable getting used to it because it is impossible to get another? ...for backup, etc. I have a nice cue, but without wrap or veneers. The cue is amazing, but....the dilemna.

Currently I'm in love with my sugartree. Of course it is subject to change at a moments notice *lol*

After about a month with the cue I still think its the best hitting cue I've owned. Its just a simple sneaky, but it hits great for my game.

I'm a little different than many as I tend to try out the unknown makers more than the established. Sugartree of course isn't all that unknown anymore.

Still want to get a bluegrass, tucker, scruggs, and another schon. Always in the market for older joss cues as well.

yes i had the cue that i thought was perfect for me. sadly i had to part ways with it...fortunatly eric crisp is goin to replicate that cue for me and i believe i will be just as satisfied with my next sugartree modified dufferin as i was with the last.

magic feather

I believe I found my magic feather. I love my current cues right now which are Scruggs, Gilbert, and Richard Black. I think they all hit amazing with little variations between each other.

Whether people will admit it or not. It is how a stick looks more than how it feels that decides if it is your "Magic Feather". You can learn to like the feel of most any cue stick. If you like how it looks it makes it even easier to love the feel of a certain stick.

I love the look of my Jacoby. It feels GREAT!:)

Scott must be referring to his Murray Tucker....which, after trying it the other night, is now MY magic feather too. I though about that cue as I slept that night. Told him the next day that I must have it and he won't give it to me....frickin' jerk ;)

I don't know about all that but I do know my
taste in cues is constantly evolving.
A few years ago I thought Lucasi was great
until I got a Jacoby. I still like the Jacoby alright
but I have found several I like better, especially
Kikel, Olney, Scruggs.

Many Moons ago I rode across the Montana Prairie on my Mule with a Cue strapped to my saddle in it's Cue Case in search of Chief Magic Feather on the Flathead Reservation in Lewis County Montana.

After searching high and low I finally found Chief Magic Feather and asked that he bless my Cue that I had purchased earlier in the year at Super Wal-Mart for $13.96.

After several housr of negations with the Chief he agreed to bless my Cue with the Scared Feathers of a Bald Eagle, and in exchange I agreed to marry his ugly daughter.

Since returning to civilization with the blessed Magic Cue I have never lost a game of Pool with any opponent, but am plagued with a really ugly wife I never wanted.

I am, indeed - and it is a dilemna (BTW - the dilemna does not involve you, Rob :)) - I got used to the cue immediately, and now that I've sold the South West and the Tucker is my player, I am getting REAL used to it.

I ran into the same problem with a Sneaky Pete from another cue-maker - I loved the cue and it became my player. Well, I ordered a fancier cue, but while waiting for it (and this could be a LONG time :)), I tried the Tucker - big mistake! Now I MUST have a fancier one. I have come tantalizingly close to this goal. Now my big hope is to acquire a cue that someone else MUST have, to use as trade bait!

This cue acquisition stuff is nuts - I should have kept my old Lucasi and played on in ignorant bliss.

BTW - I could sense you thinking about my Tucker while you slept, and it made me very uneasy  ....since I was sleeping with it.

My first real cue was a Bobby Hunter. It hit like a dream and I regret ever selling it.....but I needed the money. Anyone know someone with a Hunter they are trying to get rid of? Nothing TOO fancy.

Hell, I should have just kept playing darts. Darts are cheap!
