Helfert Hollywood 1P updates?

..Ok quick update. Im at the site but in the dark and have a hard time seeing. But Tang is here as well as Scott Frost. Jose is crashed out on the couch and Ragael is around. There all in the winners side. My buddy Daany Petralba just put Adam the sleevbe in the losers bracket and the sleeve will Play Damian A. Louis Ulrich is here as well. THe usual gang of local monsters are here. Tall Wayne, Fauch, and one pocket Rich. Rich not well known on the other side of the USA plays Efren 9/7 and Ef dont like it. So do not underestimate SoCali. Ill report more later but remember this is the Hollywood Jack memorial. Jack was one of the top hustlers in his day who did everybody. He even got someone to give him 2 to 1 on the money on a coin flip. Hows that Fatboy?
Well more later

i was there last night, first time in months i could actually be somewhere without dieing in pain(first time in 6-8 month), i feel ok too, i'm not gonna play as it might aggrivate the pain,

the action was good to sweat, Ernesto looked tired last night, he was covering tables before they played, I think he played in the 1P tournmant befoer he played mike D so he was tired before they started, one thing is for sure Mike is up 6 but that dosent mean much if Ernesto gets going, I watched alot of that match and Ernesto caught a gear now and then and was awalys in the game, they are both gotta work left to win, that 6 game lead can get erased fast, its a great match for sure-nobody is getting robbed. Mike WILL have to play better tonight to win, Ernesto isnt gonna forget how to play(he will be rested and fit to play tonight) and will be ready for him tonight-last night he looked tired from the gate, At the end last night Mike got a bit tired and Ernesto caught a second wind. Its gonna be a great game. There is a small chance it might not go to 12 for either of them tonight.

i'm gonna go down there later tonight-I think...

Im at the Hollywood Jack Memorial today and am alternating between AZ and here.

Ronnie Allen just walked in the house and cracked us up for the last 15 minutes as he got offered the nuts twice as he walked in the front door. He kept us in stitches as he told stories about playing Cicero Murphy for Mafia money that was backing RA. "I didnt feel like dying just yet" he said. "So I beat him playing 14.1 for the cash". Everyone cracked up even the guys who RA still owed money too.

Tang Hoa and One Pocket Rich are about to go heads up. This should be a great match. As the two have a long history of battles in the past. As one of the One Pocket posters has said. "It all depends who is going to be who's ***** on this one." There is a lot of history.

Louis Ulrich just got knocked out by the Doorman at the House of Billiards, Ra. He was making circus shots from everywhere. When asked did you know who you just beat. Ra just looked confused and said "Who?". LOL!!! Ra's next match is with Pacific Northwest champ Dan Wallis.

John Henderson had put Louis on the losers side earlier and now faces Big Greg on the winners side.

Sylver Ochoa who broke even with Jose in some $200 one pocket action last nite plays Rafael M next,

Look on AZ for more updates later

Scott Frost met a little tiger called Nick Spano or Lil Nicky. Scott was using a new cue and changed up. Nicky put some moves on Scott and got to the hill first at 2 to 1. Scott changed cues and got his groove on. He was not used to the table. But once he did all his banks went in and Scott put the Freeze on Nicky coming back and beating Nick 3/2.

Sylver Ochoa used his bank skills to put Rafael into the losers bracket. 3 to 1 in a long drawn out match.

Big Phil is also on the winners side. I know all you road players will be interested in that tid bit. Cause they always come to Cali and ask for him. Phil plays good and will go off. But heres a warning, he is getting better all the time. Took 2 games of Grady when he was in town for the IPT.

One Pocket Rich took off Hollywood favorite Tang Hoa. Tang now has to play Damian A. Rafael plays Josh Ulrich in the losers bracket.

Jose Parica is playing in a long match with fellow Pinoy Danny Petralba. While our boy John Henderson is in a drudge, I say drudge because its a long one, match.

We are all waiting for Ernesto and The Pain to conclude their match. Jay Helfert is keeping the front table open for them. Ernesto should be fully rested and ready.

For you PacNor people Dan Wallis is still in.

Dan Wallace lives in San Diego.

Thanks Yobagua for the updates on the ongoings! I appreciate hearing the local stuff. Am especially interested in updates on Ernesto 12 ahead match tonight; he's not going to go down without a fight.

sleeve

the sleeve and the pain are on the way to the pool room right now! sleeve says mike is ready!

Sorry I met Dan several years ago and I thought he told me he was originally from the Pacific Northwest. I know he lives in San Diego for a while.

Ernesto came in well rested and feeling good. The bets were down on Ernesto per game. Ernesto proceeded to run 4 games. They see sawed back and forth and Ernesto has taken Deschane out of rhythm. Playing jam up safeties. Not trying to run out like the kid but playing rock solid. He is very focused tonite and has the crowd in back of him. He made a terrific run out after he locked Mike up who had to kick out and left Ernesto with a difficult out. Ernesto put it into professional gear and never once jumped up staying level with the table and got out. They are EVEN!

The rail has jumped out with the money. If Ernesto can keep focused he can win and unless Deshcane digs down deep he will not get there. Last nite people were making Ernesto a dog. He's getting old. He's a working man. But he showed why he is a champion. Now people are wanted to bet on the old guy.

Speaking of "old guys", John Henderson is on the winners side and in the money. Tomorrow he plays One Pocket Rich. Parica, Big Phil, Sylver Ochoa, Jim Lewis, are still in the winners bracket. Rafael, Tall Wayne, Danny Petralba, Dan Wallis (who just beat Fach), Damian Alishan, are some of the guys on the losers side still looking to make their money back.

Ill try to stay longer for the Ernesto/Deschane match. They got about 4 hours to go and they might not settle tonite.

Is Ernesto in the 1 pocket?
No Ernesto and Oscar covered the tables and just concentrated on this 10 ball match. It is so great to see Oscar supporting his Fathers every move. Even if Ernesto loses this tough match I think he is a winner in my eyes. The greatest father and dad combo.

K, Thanks for the updates. Btw, how many entries were there ?....and I take it, Billy Palmer didn't get in ?

There are showing the UFC pay-per-view there tonight. The crowd can get pretty damn loud & roudy. I wonder how that may effect Mike or Ernesto.

update

sleeve just called me said the ufc is on upstairs and they are loud! but ernesto had mike down 3 and now its evan and they jacked another dime in the middle! so they are evan and gonna quit at 2am la time!

Hey Ghost! There were 44 entries. Somewhere there about. THe UFC crowd is filing out and they are turning the rock music on.

Ernesto went 2 ahead! Mike is struggling right now. Mike caught a break and got it back to Ernesto +1. But he had to work hard for it. When they got even they jumped up the bet. I dont talk about money so you can figure it out on your own. Lots of rail action. Ernesto looks rested and strong. Mike is questionable at this moment.

Frost and Sylver just got into some action. Ochoa getting 8/7. Both got some backers with deep pockets. So this is not for fun.

there is 14,000 in the middle, ernesto is +2, its been tight right around 0 since the bet got raised. i'll update later
