Help me decide new case

I bought it from Phil The Fin a professional rail bird.
I paid $250 to be paid in payments.
He is 77 years old and asked if I could pay it off before he dies.
I asked him how he was feeling
He said good.
Rats!

That's a very nice looking case - and if it's real leather - I'd say you got a good deal ... Pay the man.
(it's a bit more flashy than I like to take out - but it is impressive)

For myself: I can't say I'm very impressed with customer service when it comes to JB cases .. but I did just order one. The overwhelming consensus from very knowledgeable folks here on AZB kinda pushed me into it. I still think many of the cases are somewhat overpriced ... but supposedly the quality is top of the line. We shall see.

edit: Oh, and I did get one for under $300

What did we do wrong? I am not impressed with our customer service either. Maybe I should raise the prices to be able to afford some dedicated customer service reps. :-)

I reccomend neither, get yourself a Dennis Swift case.
I bought mine in 1987 and it has been tossed under a million pool tables, spent time in winter and summers in the trunk of my car, still get compliments on it.
I wish I had just put some neats foot oil or something on it over the years once in a while because I finally noticed the corners of the pockets are cracking a little.
When you get done with pool , the case will make a great present to someone.

I'll drop you an email on Tuesday (after my order arrives), and fill in the blanks. Hopefully I'll be very happy with my new case. I did make a change in the order by phone 10 minutes after I made the online order - I'm hoping to post a very happy response come Tuesday.

As far as raising your prices? ... up to you. :-)

I recommend something a little pricier and better quality. Poison is actually really nice case. Something similar to that. I had the same exact alligator skin one and it rips

I think you are saying that kinda with tongue in cheek but I have seen first hand some terrible businesses with horrible service and their answer was to charge more , not only did they always seem to get what they wanted , in a few years they sell the business for 5 times what it is worth.
I have an opinion about why I think it happens like this , but I might just be kookoo.

Well if you're not happy we will fix it. That's what we do. Trying not to raise prices. :-)

That's a whole other conversation. People sometimes have an inverse relationship to price where sometimes a company that charges a lot and gives horrible service is somehow seen as being more desirable. Kind of like how people stay with those who treat them like crap to the point that any affection triggers euphoric responses.

Why don't you take your problem with your customer to your own thread or PM.

As promised, I'm posting about the JB Case.
The case did arrive, and it was the correct one.
Seems to be a very well made case, and I think I'll be happy with it.
I did find an email for John, so I'll discuss any further issues with him via that venue.

I'll also start doing reviews on the cases and cues I now have in the next week or two.

Oh: this one:

along with a tray for bottom pocket.

I am sorry I didn't realize that we each get ownership of all the discussion points in a thread?

You asked for help to purchase a case and you got one so what's the issue now? Is there some reason why people can't have a separate conversation based on other points raised in a thread?

I also have NO PROBLEM with my customer that I know of but I will discuss whatever I want to wherever the conversation happens to take place unless there is some compelling reason not to.

So now you know WHY I don't take it to PM or another thread. You don't OWN this thread or any thread on AZB as far as I know and no harm has come to you through any side discussion about cases that has arisen through a thread that you started.

You are as big a jerk that everyone says you are.
I would carry my cues in a card board tube before I would buy a case from you.
I asked for help deciding which case to buy not to have you hawk your ugly cases.
