The new cue bug has bitten.
My choices are down to 3.
I was hoping you could help me decide.
Which ever cue I get I will do so with a Predator Z-2 shaft.
Prices listed are not inclusive of the predator shaft upgrade.
I welcome all editorial feedback on the listed cues.
Please refrain from reviews such as "Schons are the nutz" or "So-and-so cues suck".
THANX! -Z-

I'm just not sure about that new artifical leather wrap. Anyone have a review on it?

of the 3, I like the predator.

that being said you can do a hell of alot better than these things for 500-600 bucks.

I voted save yer money.

I think I would go with the Joss although I like the Schon a lot. Since you are going to upgrade to the Z2 shaft anyway it just seems like the most bang for the buck.

I vote for the Schon as well. The one you selected is rare as it's one of the few sharp-pointed models they still make. The resale value on it would be higher because of that.

Predator

I choose the predator because you are going to use a predator Z2 shaft. If you like the predator Z2 than just bye the whole cue since they are all production cues anyway. Good Luck

I actually have the Schon sp-1106 It is a great stick. The spliced points are the reason I chose it. I actually had a Stack leather wrap installed on mine. Looks great.
I will try and post a picture up. I might be willing to part with it.

You might consider an OB cue! The OB cues butts are made by JOSS and come with the OB-1 or OB-2, your choice. This way you save the expense of another shaft.

Before looking at the pics and prices I was between the Schon and save your money. After looking at them I choose save your money.

Be patient and you will see a lot of nice non production cues for sale in the same price range.

If you think a NEW Q will bring magic to you game, I am sorry to say it will not. Efrin Reyes, and I alway spell his name wrong, played for years with a $15.00 Cue!

Buy a Schon SP1106 because I will give you the best deal on the cue gauranteed. Let me know if you are interested.

Hey there CC, After playing pool (and being on sabbaticals from playing pool) for as long as I have, I know all too well even David Copperfield couldn't put magic in game unless I'm putting in the practice time ;).

I'm looking for a new cue because I want to retire my Huebler H-A. Huebler's not making cues anymore so if something were to happen to it, it would be very difficult to replace. I'm so fond of the cue that when I go into a Pool hall I'm so hyper concerned about someone trying to lift it (I always get admirers who come up to me and ask questions about the cue), I sort of loose out on the enjoyment I usually get from playing. I'm looking to buy a comparable, quality hitting cue that's also good looking. Technology has come so far that today there's a lot more cue for a lot less money. The 3 cues I picked all have solid reputations of being excellent hitting cues, and at least to me, have decent looks without being over the top.

Thanx for all the feedback so far. Please keep it coming. -Z-

If you really have to spend, here's my take.

If you like a clean look like I do, I'd go for the predator. I don't use predator shafts though. So my opinion is all based on looks.

That Schon is pretty slick looking.

Those artificial leather wraps feel spongy to me. Some people might like it but I couldnt get used to it.
