help please....butt stuck in case

glad it came out but if you put the shaft on and pulled and it hurt the joint you have a piece of crap cue.

Did you have a rubber carom wrap on your butt?

I've seen one of those get stuck. It took 3 guys to get the cue out. We all thought the cue would break.

I have two of what I assume are vintage Adam cues. Neither fit in my El Cheapo standard 2x2 case butt first. I have to insert them pin first. With joint protectors, always, of course.
Same with my older Vikings. They get stuck if I put them in butt first. Butt they sit in there nice. They don’t fumble around. The weird thing is the butts don’t feel any bigger than my other cues. I haven’t sighted them side by side though.

I think my newer Viking, or any of their current production is on the fat end of the range. I have the same case, it's pretty tight. My McDermott Lucky is a boy thought, too.

I would take the case apart. I've taken a few cases apart to redo the interiors. It's not a lot of work and usually goes back together fairly well. With these extruded rectangular plastic with internal dividers type cases you can usually pull off he entire outside of the case (almost like pulling off a tight sock) and separate it from the internal tube. There may be some double sided tape at the very top of the case that you have to loosen but after that if you tug down hard you should be able to slide off the outside of the case. Once you separate the outside from the tube, often (but not always) the bottom of the tube is just closed off with a piece of eva foam and tape. Open that up and pull the butt out from the back. I can't tell from the pictures if the very bottom of the case has nails around it. If so, you'll likely need to remove the nails (delicately) first. I haven't taken apart this brand but none of the cases I have in the past have been particularly difficult to take apart or put back together. I think JB has a couple of videos on youtube where he takes cases apart for reference.
