I opened up the shipping box and found a cue with solid ivory joints, ivory Hoppe ring, ivory ferrule, best titlist veneers I've seen yet, and Ebony points with a leather wrap. I was told the shaft is very, very old.

Now, does anyone know what kind of cue this is?????

Rambow? Martin?? Brunswick??? Any ideas????

Thanks for your help.

Did Jerry make you another cue? It's really great, whatever it is!

Hey Mr Marshall
Looks like a great -R- cue to me.

Jazznpool veneers , and it's an Ariel Carmeli cue?

 I'll vote for Kenny on his Guest. I also think its a Carmelli cue although, the forearm is kinda confusing for a new cue. It seems to me that the forearm is old. Anyway, Trade>?

<M>:)

Definitely looks like an -R- cue to me! I am really jealous of any ebony titlist or titlist tribute cues!

Nice Cue!

.....the veneers and points look like Jerry's!? :)

Nice cue John -- wanna make any trades :grin-square:

Looks Like An -R- To Me With A Special Ordered Joint/collar Setup.

Is The Shaft Collar Solid Ivory? Does The Pin Thread Into The Ivory?

Mr. Tate you have quite the talent to nail the builder right off the get go. You AZers are very, VERY sharp. Yes, the shaft joint is ivory and is threaded. It has a radial pin, and Jazznpool veneers. I was fortunate enough to spend the better part of a week being tutored by Mr. Rauenzahn back in July 2008. Mr. Jerry had me glue up the veneers and this forearm. I am very gracious and honored for Jerry Rauenzahn to take the time and share with me his cue building processes. He is a GREAT teacher, and a talented cue builder. I am humbled by his knowledge and expertise.

By the way, this cue really hits rock solid.

Thank you Mr. Jerry -R-

Very nice traditional looking cue, thanks very much for sharing.

The piece of shaftwood used on this cue came from a crate of maybe 90 or so pieces of hard maple shaftwood Mr. Jerry Rauenzahn was able to get his hands on. They are very firm and some are straight enough to use. They are 33 inches in length and taper from 15/16 to 7/16. A few pieces are brown ,not sure what that wood is. This crate was in storage from the 50s or 60s before Jerry snagged it. The shaftwood and the crate are for sale if interested Email Jerry-R- at

Here are some picks of Jerry's crate I consider a rare historical find.
