Help with a legal situation, how to fix this?? Az'ers i need your advice?!?!

One more job to aspire to: No BS, Pensacola Florida passed a law that a certain percentage of skin had to be covered by bikinis on the beaches. Naturally they needed an official measurer or two to enforce this. I heard that the line of applicants streched for hundreds of yards!

I was the last idiot in line.... :embarrassed2:

a lot of hopefuls

I was the last idiot in line.... :embarrassed2:

I don't think they hired anybody new for the task but there were a hell of a lot of hopefuls! Not being the kind of guy to stand in that long of a line I called all my family in Pensacola to see if any of them had any pull with the mayor or chief of police. Nary a chance, my female cousin didn't have the clout and my male cousin couldn't see to find the phone after his wife clouted him. Seems he was in line with you!

That sounds great! Relocation, new job, I'm all for it. I wanna be a pianer player in a knocking shop, can't decide yet if I want to go to the Rockies or Hawaii though. Maybe they would let me have a summer and winter gig? Can't be too careful as deeply involved as I am in with major criminal activity now, I might even need to be given ten million or so and shipped off to a country without extradition or even official relations with the USA. I was thinking maybe Mexico, Cancun or Alcapoco? Caulifornia? I'm new to this life of crime, so many decisions to make! Peru and Brazil have a certain appeal too. Maybe I can just get a traveling gig pimping for the Secret Service guys!

Hu

No one deserves it more than you.

Don't forget the book and movie rights.

If she won't let me bring my alligator she's pretty sure to like either of my girlfriends even less! Hope you have a barn or workshop out back, maybe I could sneak one or the other in there. They are right at home in barns.

Just don't ship them USPS without full disclosure.

AMEN.

Did your lawyer friend tell you that you asked if they were copies, you were OK with copies "because you weren't going to resell them" what a great cop-out to Accustats, TAR, and every other streamer out there. And that you accepted the DVD's, plus kept them in your possession for a long period of time when they were supposed to be for the "kids"

I'd box them up, and send them off, lose the BS drama. You shouldn't have been talking to a lawyer friend, posmaster, they should have been in the mail already.

+1
All the drama isn't necessary on either persons part.

If you are the other party from the OP in this thread, why are you giving out DVD's that aren't legit.

Support the companies who help support pool.

I'm waiting to hear from him. Not really sure if he still has my shipping address. All he has to do is PM me.

I just read all 5 pages of this thread....

and all i have to say is....

Thats 10 minutes of my life i will never get back!

just send the dvd's back.. who cares where or how you got them..

they dont belong to you regardless.....

It doesn't matter

Do you really think the post office has someone in a little room with a DVD player and TV checking DVD's coming through if they are originals or copies?

Come on now, get them back to the original owner ...

Nailed it !!

LMFAO -

But to the subject, if there is one..I have personally mailed thousands of packages over the years at the post office myself..When asked what was in them I stated the contents..NEVER has any clerk QUESTIONED, SCANNED, X-RAYED, SHOOK, TURNED UPSIDE DOWN or ever OPENED a package to see if that was actually the contents stated..Also, somewhere I have read that it is legal to make a personal backup of gaming discs in case they are destroyed, not to be circulated...I don't know how true it is considering the equipment is illegal....Just mail the damn things! And when the clerk asks whats in the package, use some better judgement than you have used here in the past!

wtf

Obviously the Op is trying to make this as difficult as possible for the original owner of the dvd's. Seperate your feelings and just ship back whats not yours.....

The value of copied DVDs is about the same value of a blank DVD. Go to amazon and order him a stack of blank DVDs. He probably shouldn't have been making large number of copies in the first place anyways.

I conferred with both my cousin who is an University Ethics professor and my neighbor who is a Priest and both thought you were some kind of welsher.
(and they both thanked what ever they believed in that they didn't have to deal with you or your "name discrepancies" or your "forgetting to returns").

Kevin

Spot on. Why is it everyone on here who fails to honour an agreement has "a personal family matter" or "an illness" or whatever?

Just honour your word and don't make excuses.

I think the OP's opinion is that if you are going to make excuses, then make them completely long and drawn out with legal loopholes and "evidence".

Please, this character supposedly started this thread to ask for "help" and "advice" and the community has run like 95% "send them back", but he's arguing rather than doing it. Makes one wonder what his real purpose was in starting the thread.

I think his expectation was that we would all vilify the dvd copier as a rogue and federal criminal which would allow him to save the cost of postage with a clear conscience.
