I need help finding the post described below:
A month or so ago, there was a thread talking about pro qualifications and such.
Some made a post describing the policies of the Japanese Billiard Assn. (JBA)
I think that was the name of the organization.
The governing body in Japan has the policy that if you want to play in the pro events, you must pass a test.
The play a number of 'equal offense' games and you must get a certain number or you cannt play. Amateurs cannot play in pro events and pros cannot play in amateur events.
In the rare exception, an amateur player may be able to play in pro event- costs him half and he wins half.
