Dam sure new to me anyway and I been playing for many a year.
The other night there is stranger in my pool hall. It happens, but if the place is has less then twenty people in it and most are regulars, the strangers always catch an eye for a minute or two. I imagine this is pretty common...I believe I've heard it referenced "clocking speed" here a time or two.
Straight away I know this guy is pretty dam good and settle in to watch him play one of our regulars. There is no bet, no smack talk, just freindly banter as this guys runs out pretty fn regularly....really moving the rock well well needed. Otherwise just fast and loose and win...repeat.
On one of these outs he gets stuck (dont know the table thing dammit) but basically its three balls all a row.All about 8 inches apart. The 8 is closest to the pocket. The six is behind it and the cue in behind the six.
Basically the 8 is 8 inches in front of the 6 and blocking the hole.
Dude (stanger) calls this..."I'm gonna jump the cue...make it land on the six...and make the six jump the 8".
Now< I had been watching closley for about an hour, but keeping it real casual before this shot came up. For this I had to snap to attention. Did this guy say what I thought he said??
Then it happened...raggity ass house cue and all...he jumped the cb off the table. It lands on the six. The six leaves the table and jumps the 8. I swear it.
As a point of fact he did miss the hole by about two inches. It was the most amazing miss I have ever seen.
Anybody got that one in the shot library??
