Here's another layout ....

2,3,4,1,10, 5 Breakshot !!!

there is also a way you can shoot the 1 ball as the breakshot, going 1 rail into the side of the rack !!

depending on how secure you are with your white control and high speed breaks, you might choose to play the 10 after the 4, so you have still two nice break shots as alternatives, if you slightly misplace whitey after the 10... (on a bad day I might choose this way... pssssst don't tell anybody... if I go this way I feel slightly insecure that day ;) )

At this point i am picking off the easy shots saving the 10 for last. pretty easy to get the right breakshot from there

Really couldn't any of those balls be used as a breakshot going one rail
into the stack?

I would play 1,10,2,4,3 5.. I don't like using the bridge on the 2ball.

Pattern

Every ball on the table can be used as a break shot but the pattern that jumped right out at me when I first looked at the diagram was:
2,3,4,1,10, 5

Ron: We wrote our comments at the same time.....LOL

OMG, Steve, we think alike! I looked at the table and decided I like the 10 as the key ball best because it's the only shot that brings the CB toward the break ball into the angle. Then I figured the 2, 3, 4, 1 would be the easiest way to clean up the bottom of the table. I scrolled down wondering if I'd be the only one with that pattern and the first one I saw was yours - identical to mine. That's awesome!

I'm In Good Company

Wow! Nearly all of us would play the same pattern. Now I know I'm in good company.

Now for something a little different. I am looking to maximize my position zone going into the break shot & moving the CB along the shot line, not against it. The CB moves a lot at the beginning of the run, but there is little jeoplardy given that we have 2 balls hanging should we flub the 1B-->10B shape.
