Fell on hard times for a few years, lost my job twice and had to move from Florida to Seattle, and then to Denver area. Had to leave my table back in Florida...

My skill has dropped from C player to D player due to no table to practice on... :-(

I am now under contract for a home in the Denver area, in the best school district in Colorado for my son to go to high school, and the home has room for my Diamond Pro/Am on the ground floor, which is fairly unusual for this area.. I thought I was going to have to have the slate split into thirds to go in a basement.

Along with not being able to play much, I was getting pretty sour on life in general... This house is great, more pluses all around than my home in Florida... Things may be turning around...

Can't wait to get the table from Florida and get back to it!!

We moved from Orlando to Broomfield one year ago. Found my life long dream of an Anniversary right in downtown Denver.

Amazingly, I play at least five racks a day all year 'round. I think you'll enjoy it here.

I'm old, and I can't beat a sole, but I did beat clinical depression. If you're ever in need; PM me...

I moved to Denver a couple of months ago, also a D player. Have yet to meet a Denver AZer (knowingly), if you are looking for someone to shoot around with sometime hit me up.

I don't know how many will remember you, Russ, the landscape has changed a lot, but I remember you well. Best wishes and best of luck with the move.

All you newcomers to Denver need come to Felt on Saturday. I am almost always there.
Diamond tables $2.50 an hour before 4 Pm and they all have new cloth plus the food is good and best of all I will be there. :welcome:

I work evenings on the weekends but I might take a ride over there later tonight. Say hi to the big hawaiian looking guy.

Welcome back, Russ. Glad to hear of your change in fortune. Hey, with a home table, it's be a short time before somebody had better play better than shortstop speed to beat you! ;)

I remember

Hey Russ, welcome back. Glad you are doing better now. If I recall you were a military contractor who rode a small yellow bus to work everyday? Amright:rolleyes:.

Anyway, you were always a good sport. Happy to hear you are doing well.

Sorry to hear you got a bad roll while you were away. But, glad to hear things are under control now. There's been many new folks on here since you left, but most importantly, Travis Trotter still lets us know how he's paying.

Welcome back, Russ.

Welcome back, Russ!! Superstorm Sandy did a number on me, but it did have a happy ending. Glad to hear you're getting back on your feet as well. PM me when you get a chance.

Russ...Good to see you posting again. I remember coming to work with you just after you came back to the states. That was sure a nice poolroom in your house. Hope you can recreate it in your Denver home. Does your son play yet? I know he was interested back when he was a lot younger...hard to believe he's in high school now! LOL Times flies... Welcome back to pool, and to AzB! Hope things continue to go well for you.

Scott,

My son took second in a very small youth tournament a few weeks ago.. He has a pretty straight stroke, but he tries to run out every inning in 8 ball.. He is like most teens. He doesn't listen for sh**....
