HeY Pinoy Friends; How Are You All Doing? Typhoon PI

That's where I sent my money...the Sally Ann is the one I trust.
I have a couple friends still waiting for a phone call...fingers crossed.

I saved my receipt. It is a tax deduction, which is helpful.

I feel so bad for the Filipino people. It will take a long time to recover from this. :(

We just played the Pinoy team at league last night. I asked all the guys on their team if their family and friends back home were OK. For most of them no major problems as their loved ones were in Manila, but one of the players has family outside of Manila that he hasn't heard from yet.

Hoping for the best. Keep good thoughts, guys.

Thats pretty safe. Typical pool player. Always a condition for everything. Why don't you just give and do it anonymously?

My cousin's wife finally got word out last night, nine days after the typhoon hits. She is okay, but their needs are water and food like everyone else. The area that she's in is Carigara. She has decided to stay there for now and help her family.

Salvation Army Donation

I make my Donations to the Salvation Army.
They give 100% of donated money to whoever you request.

I have heard that the Red Cross collects the money and sends it to whoever is in need.
They were chastised for sending money that was destined to go to Katrina to others.
Of course they took their money for expenses, before sending.

I know there are other organizations that donate 100% of the money, I just don't know them.

I made my donation to the Salvation Army, Barney Calip.

YES!
The Red Cross take a HUGE amount of money sent to pay their 'non-profit' administrators and other employees.
I learned of this after 9/11.
I now only give money to aide tragedies such as this to the SA.
The Rosicrucians can get stuffed...as do their wallets upon every Global tragedy.
Think they have a leg up on the government when they squeal, " Never let a crisis go to waste."
