This post isn't representative of what type of quality of post a true professional would make. I never get into this type of a discussion on this forum and rarely post. However, after seeing this type of thing come from a professional and seeing it on several occasions, I felt compelled to voice my concern. I know a handful of professionals in this sport and in this business and none of them would handle this situation or past situations like this. It has nothing to do with being envy of skills or whatever it is you are insinuating, but simply an evaluation and criticism of how JS interpets situations and conspicuously post them in an attempt to create what undoubtedly always turns into DRAMA for himself and others that he doesn't need and is in poor taste.
 
All I have to say is if John and other players never post little tidbits like this, this forum wouldn't be anywhere near as exciting. Every pro sport has player vs. player spats - pool is no different. If TO can get on ESPN and mouth off about his QB in a condescending manor, why can John Schmidt call-out someone who back-stabbed him in front of his sponsor??? Isn't that what this forum is for??

Anyway, this match will never happen because Kucharo knows he can't get there.

yobagua,and one on one i think are misunderstanding me.i dont know kucharos personal life or how hes playing.also this has nothing to do with patting myself on the back.its simply one pro letting the other pro know that he can win 20,000 since he says he can beat me. i make my living playing for money in tourneys and one on one matches.in case you have not noticed i have played many,many money matches in my career and this would be no different.trust me kucharo has a massive ego and does think he plays better than me.you know what he might play better than me but there is only one way to find out.thats to get up and play.another thing if i go around saying i can beat so and so im fully prepared to get asked to play for big money.thats how the pros do it.since i beat harriman in the last action all around tar and my backer have told me to ask someone to play.well since kucharo said what he said it sounded to me like he likes his end of it thats all.i dont understand why im getting told im way out of line .also im sorry i type so bad i just figured im getting my point across so whats the big deal.ill try to do better from now on with the caps,periods etc. p.s. the reason i posted on the net about playing him is i know hes busted.there is people on the net that might like his end and this is a quick way to reach them by woofing at their hero.if i ask him to play hes just gonna get mad or say he will play but he will have no money.its called woofing its how big games are made .

Wow Terry - that almost sounded like a comment I would make & then get threatened about or called fat.

John Kucharo may not have the same skills as JS but when he was playing, he was one of my favorite players to watch. And he had a stroke BEYOND compare. Made Larry Nevel say uncle in a gambling stroke skills competition once. I was lucky enough to have inside info & was one of the few on JK side when he took down the house. When John was into pool, he would practice 8-10 hours a day. He also had the break needed to play and beat the great players.

I saw John for about 10 seconds in Vegas, wish I would have stopped him to talk.

JK isn't a US Open Champion or sponsored by OB cues either. I'm sure there is no possible statement JK could make to jeopardize JS sponsorship. I don't know JK but I have seen him act unacceptable when he tried to make his pro debut 10 years ago or so. It didn't get him anywhere and I'm simply trying to point out that these types of issues are in poor taste and a true professional as JS should not pour gas to the fire and be a better person and professional and end such things.

woof woof.. I've got $20 to play anyone that comes to Ottawa Canada :) If your a pro, I'll play you 5 sets :) Race to about 17 each set because I've got to shoot at least 10 times each set..

OK, that isn't intended to upset anyone.. I'd love to see some of this action live some day. Who knows, I've got a car, maybe an 18 hour drive to watch is a good idea :) All the best. FYI, I'd put my $20 on John anyday :)
 
I like having John here and everyone who has been on this site a year or more knows how many pros have posted here, got blasted, and understandably left never to post again.

"hi john kucharo go get some money" and "bring an ipod, duct tape, and ten thousand dollars" are classic JS posts in my book.
 
I believe what you say John. But what is the next step for you? I have always been a supporter of yours. I had you to beat Harriman in the last match. Because I knew your fighting spirit would not let us down. But there is a better and bigger way to go about it. As you know 20K is big in pool but it is nothing in the real money world. I believe someone like you can make the next step up. This kind of woofing keeps you down there. There is bigger fish to fry than Kucharo.

I understand wanting to create action for yourself John. However, couldn't you have left the other stuff out? What would be wrong with saying.."JK made a comment in vegas he could beat me and I'm interested in making a game" etc. You are above alot of the things you say and I'm not sure if you are aware of your ambiguous comments sometimes, and now you are commenting on somebody elses financial situation in an inproper manner. Surely you couldn't of thought there is anybody dumb enough here to put JK up in any type of an all around format like you have played with Danny? I mean maybe there is? I'm guessing not likely. Besides now that you are pumped up, I heard Alex said he would love to have a chance to play you in an all around, why not negotiate something with him? Or if he is too tough I'd love to see you and Niels Fiejen play an all around and I think he is even more than 3,000 miles away.

no hard feelings yobagua or one on one tourneys.i do howerver find it ironic that your avatar is a stack of money and you go by oneononepooltourneys which of course eludes to you considering yourself a big money player.than when a champion says he can beat me and i reply with bet 20,000 you go off on me. you see i should have your avatar and go by oneononepooltourneys because ive actually played for huge stacks of money .anyway no biggie just ironic and one more reason i should never post on here again ,its mostly haters and people with no clue .as slow and bad as i type i find myself defending myself to people that for some reason or another hate me or all good players and have fun giving me a hard time. it gives me a headache .im an easy target i guess.take care im going back to tiling my kitchen which for me is even harder than dealing with some people on here.p.s. im not telling everybody off, my comments are directly at oneononetourneys so there is no misunderstanding.

I'm sorry when a successful person like JS or any other pro post something, i'm obviously intrigued and expecting something with quality, only to find this type of thing. But what the hell, now that we have this thread prospering maybe JS will get some more action and make a score, which, would be better for him and we all can watch it. Everybody ends up happy!! Sounds like a good ending.

John, you don't post that bad. If you would write 2 sentences and then hit that big button that reads ENTER, your posts would be MUCH easier to read.

Just to recap...

So Jon Kucharo badmouths John Schmidt, and not just to some friends/fans but to Schmidt's SPONSOR, more than likely in an attempt to steal away said sponsor. Not only that, but Kucharo was all chummy with Schmidt earlier like they were friends. Schmidt relates the story on here, admits that Kucharo is a good player but will take him up on pretty much any money offer Kucharo wants to make.

So 1on1, you not only have the audacity to criticize Schmidt's behavior for standing up for himself, but you then go and call him a "phoney" for doing so. :confused: You give the reason that Schmidt should have left out all of the extraneous information. Why? Because it would make another pro look bad? Maybe the pro that was running his mouth shouldn't have said such things in the first place if he didn't want them repeated.

Honestly it just seems like you saw a pro post on the board, got all excited at the prospect of trying to demean him, and then got so flustered you resorted to high school insults. Read more, post less.
