With out a doubt BUCKTOOTH was the MEGA MAN he would bet everybody in the building at any tournament. I never will forget he would say the $100 window is open buy as many tickets as you like. I seen him buy drinks for everybody in VEGAS one time till they passed out they carried Louie Roberts to the room in his chair. Bucktooth was with Billy Encardone. Thats when he played Alen Hopkins it took 30 MINUTES to count the money and 5 MINUTES to play the GAME.

I take it you're a fan of Bucktooth, half of the posts of yours I have read are about him

I just finished reading "playing off the rail" today for the third time and love the parts Bucktooth is in; quite a character.

This guy isn't a fan of Bucktooth, he IS Bucktooth.. He comes on here every few weeks and tries to get someone to come gamble with him by woofing at everyone through an "anonymous admirer"/action hound.

It's getting tiresome. Someone needs to find Bucktooth and smack the s**t outta him for posting these stupid posts.

Nice shot, Russ. He went by the handle, Bucktooth Bandit, over at SB before he got banned. In the mid 70s there was a lawyer from central Mexico that was a pilot and played pool real high. Kinda like Harry but would bet $100K if it came down just right. He use to fly up to Amarillo once a month or so and played all around the panhandle. A couple of Texas players snapped him off pretty good. Andy Oguine was one of them. I heard one of the top CA players got a taste too. I don't remember the guy's name but he had to have it in his mind that you had $$$ or you got no action. Didn't matter how you played as long as the cash was assured.

I seen him beat one guy out of $8000 one night and then wanted to charge him $2.00 dollars for a slice of pizza in manteca.

Abndy Oguine?? Now there is a blast from the past.

Andy once told me he got Jarred so much in West Texas that he got addicted to it. Is he still alive?

Funny thing is, ironman, I didn't know the answer to that question until tonight when I got a PM from a guy who said he had seen him last week and that he was doing well. If there ever was one of a kind it was Andy. A quarter horse magician of Efren's speed.

Check this out, $$$$$$$$ BIG WIN $$$$$$$$ ...... KEITH came to town back in the 70's and was beating everyone and came with & a backer and some BIG money. BUCKTOOTH got Filipino Gene on the phone and backed Filipino Gene and Keith spotted Gene the 6 ball playing 9 ball. Keith ended up losing either $16,000 or $18,000 dollars. After the game BUCKTOOTH & Gene split their winnings. As you know Filipino Gene never drives a car and he asked BUCKTOOTH for a ride back to San Francisco after the match and ended having to take a bus back to the city.

BUCKTOOTH was too busy counting his money and his horse had to take the bus. I think a LIMO was warranted and should have been called!

If you think that's a win, as the story goes from others, BUCKTOOTH took down $240K in one sitting playing cards in San Jose, CA.

I wonder if this Bucktooth guy ever gambled with Amarillo Slim ? Slim was a high stakes gambler betting on anything and everything..

Filipino Gene I used to see him at the Jointed Cue when Terry had his tournments and he would be in action late at night, I never saw him lose, once I watched him give the nuts to tommy(Sombody-fat guy from stockton) and went hill-hill to 11 twice and beat him, he wasnt suppost to, he beat a friend of mine the same way, no talk, nothing fancy just booked winners. Good action player and awalys seemed to match up well. I'm sure he has been beat pleanty of times but I didnt see it.

Gene was one of the best action players! He just didn't travel around too much, but he took down huge scores. He left for the PI maybe a year ago; not sure if he's coming back to san francisco.

Tom Butler, perhaps?

Bucktooth vs. Billy Incardona

There was a famous game at the Stardust the last year that tournament was played. 1972 I think. Bucktooth and Billy matched up with Billy giving Tooth the 6 ball. Billy was a top player back then. They started out at $100 a game. And Billy was losing. Tooth played pretty strong 9-Ball in those days. The bet kept getting raised until it was $500 a game, pretty good action for the early 70's.

They played all night and Billy caught a very high gear, where he was totally zeroed in. He was making everything from anywhere. Tooth would push out for a long rail bank and Billy would fire it in and run out. They were sucker shots but Billy kept making them. In the end, Billy busted Tooth for 25K.

Later on Tooth told me he was broke after that, but decided to work hard and get rich. And he did, in the furniture and jewelry business. He said he was never broke again. I suspect he has millions in cash salted away.

Several years ago, some thugs broke into his home and tried to rob him. The story about it was on some TV show. The thieves got scared off when they heard sirens outside. Luckily for Tooth, they were going to a call nearby. Someone on here may remember more of the details. Fatboy?
