Hindu's in Lowell, Massachusetts Protest Vote to Allow Billiard Hall Next to Temple

Most of the problems in North America are the result of an
unwise immigration policy of the North American Indian.

Yeah, they choked it...and we should all use their plight as a history lesson. Their leaders got a little greedy and full of themselves ("I'm not kidding you Two Feathers Biden, those dumb ass White Eyes gave us $24 AND some trinkets for that worthless piece of property they call Manhatten!") and forgot the future for what they could score today.

Just a little creative border security and they could have gotten rid of those damned pilgrims and sent a message to anyone else who wanted to drop by for a free handout of maize and turkey. Stop in for a visit if you don't mind being scalped in the middle of the night.

God, that would have changed history a little wouldn't it have? Of course now my people, the White Eyes, would have the casinos, but that's another story...

I didn't think you could help further, but you have and just keep amazing me dude. The last post incudes talk of curry, pictures of curry and lyrics from The Grateful Dead what more could a man want.

I Love You............................in a respectful platonic way of course:o

Always glad to brighten up the day of an ex Brit in Georgia. That's a tough place to find great curry or Yorkshire pudding (although the roast beef is great...it just has potatoes and carrots with it)! Keep your fingers crossed, a temple could be opening up in your neighborhood soon...

Already gone

I see there is a big battle for Muslims to build a temple right next to ground ZERO. Actually oneof the planes landing gear went through the roof of this place. It seems that we have to adjust for them but if we ask for a bit back they have a fit.

We have to be sympathetic to all cultures tothepoint they can't do the pledge in some schools, even hasbeen talk about taking In God wetrust off ofthe money. What next? Are we going to offend someone ifwe don't share the pictues on the money with Bin Laden or the prophet Mohamed? I know this sounds really silly butwhen you were growning up did u ever think that you may not be able to say the pledge in school?? Just my 2c. It just is becoming unfair.

"In God We Trust", may already be going away...I was too lazy to see if there is any truth to it.

What they need to do is send them out to Saskatchewan when its 50+ below with the wind chill. I think they'll be happy to hop on their boat and go for another cruise.

I was once in Sask in January  that's the other reason they sailed into Vancouver, the other other reason is you can't sail to
Sask

I had to laugh out loud at this... where have you been living argonath?

This is the USA.. "Money and the need for revenue" is the WAY of DOING Business in the USA and has been the basis of LAWS in tis land for over 200 years.

Oh, btw... churches have special laws just for them.... TAX Free subsidies NON-Profit intities. IMO, religions in the USA have been in arrears in taxes since 1776.

They need to pay their share... first, then they can have a right to have more special laws...

Know your history... or be doomed to repeat it..
No worries... I put that response as a way to get conversation... not my opinion on the matter.

I try when I write to be neutral (except the article on the poetry reading in a billiard hall), but on occasion I will make something of opinionated commentary.

This time... I wanted to simply lay out what is going on, and let everyone choose sides according to their opinions... and indeed, that is what happened in this thread.
this is really funny.

Well, "In God we trust" wasn't on any coins until the Civil War, nor on any printed money until the 1960s, so it's not like having the motto on our money is an inextricable element of our national history or culture. Based on the timing, it's just something that made some people feel good during times of crisis.

Sad to say, but this what we have to look forward to in America. The Muslims are here and multiplying fast (same in Europe). They do not want to assimilate into our culture. Slowly but surely, they will try to instill their value system on the rest of us. Eventually they will make inroads into business, politics and economic institutions (already done). When they have a strong foothold, in maybe ten to twenty years, stories like this one about a pool hall will seem mundane.

You can call me a racist or whatever you want, but this is my opinion. Yesterday I went to a large water park with my grandkids and their friends. I was there to help keep an eye on the little ones when the big ones were going on the slides and stuff. As we all sat by the wave pool, a group of Muslim women entered the pool fully clothed (shawls included). Everyone else was wearing swim suits of course. The kids thought it looked funny, but even my daughter and her friend could not understand this. I did my best to explain the difference in our cultures.

I told Heather that she can expect to see more and more of this in her lifetime. And some day they may even expect it of you!

Kudos...and I agree.

Muslims and Hindus are completely different religions. India and Pakistan have been at odds for years. I had a Hindu guy from India on my team in a pool league, good guy and a good player. They play mostly snooker in India but it is a popular sport and perfectly acceptable in their religion.

I know a guy named Harld Johnson who had trouble opening a pool hall in St Louis county because of opposition from the mayor and local ordinances preventing a pool hall which served alcohol near a church and they were Christians.

The issue here is pool hall vs church more than the specific religion. There are plenty of Christians who don't want a pool hall next to their church.

Is that Harold Johnson an older man who used to be a schoolteacher. There was a very good player by that name back in the 70's from Illinois.

There was an interesting comment made on the Lowell News paper blog.
Apparently the Hindus own convenient stores (no really). They don't mind selling alcohol or tobacco products (touching or being around it) when its putting money in their pocket.

Thats ok but they don't want it sold next to the temple. I suppose that if one of their people opened a convenient store in the warehouse, nothing further would have been mentioned. A pretty weak argument on their part.

The interesting thing about your post...

The word 'god' is actually a generalized pagan term for anything someone considers an object of worship.

Its why in the Torah and Talmud they NEVER called Him 'god', but always used a Personal name such as Jehova or JHVH.

With the masonic influence of our nations creation and especially the monetary system, I always wondered deep down which 'god' they may be referring to by using that generalized word.

Not sure if he used to be a schoolteacher or where he is originally from. He is a black guy, probably our age 60ish. He used to own a pool hall in Baden MO, North St Louis. That area became so bad that it was dangerous to go to the pool hall. It is a "black" pool hall but I used to go there because it was closest to my house. Tom Ferry also played there sometimes prior to his passing.

He then tried to move to a better location in the county and he finally got it approved but met with resistance from the mayor and others. It is a very nice room with several gold crowns and a bar and grill, one of the nicest rooms in St Louis. Pool tables downstairs, bar and grill upstairs.

Here is a link to his new room which opened about 4 years ago with the phone number. You could call and ask for Harold. He is a good guy.
