Top of my head, I will go with John Schmidt because he seems to be "in stroke" with all his play. Don't hear Hohmann mentioned a whole lot anymore.

Yeah Schmidt has a lot more active for sure. Hohmann is some player though. Extremely tough. I think this would be a good player for John to beat. Looks good on a resume.

Just because you don't hear about Hohmann doesn't mean he isn't one of the top 3 most lethal people on planet earth in 14.1!

I know Oliver and Ralf are the most popular European players, but I like Hohmann's game and Engert's game above either in the long run at 14.1.

It wouldn't surprise me if Schmidt would consider Thorsten his most worthy adversary at this point in time.

Not counting me, of course.

Seriously though, I have a DVD of them playing. Thorsten won, but I bet it could go either way.

One time John was playing Toastie in a tournament and John had just gone up 7-4. Before John breaks, he comes over to me and asks me to get him a bottle of water. So I did.

After that he never won another game.

I've always felt bad about that.

:p

So I guess that as long as I'm not fetching his water, Thorsten's in trouble.

Slipped him a mickie, did ya?

Good to know. Thanks. Will never ask you for help when I am playing ;)

EDIT: To stay on topic, I believe Hohmann is the better player than Schmidt, both in 9-ball, 8-ball and 14-1...
