Was The Butt Of The Cue Reworked To Add The Bumper? That's Odd On A Tascarella For It To Be Hoppe Style, And Have A Bumper. Just Curious.
I dont know. I believe it to be all original. He told me he never had any work done to it other than new tips puts on. Didnt even remember if he had it rewrapped or not. The cue is not signed but I truly have no doubts to its authenticity. And I forgot to add that the 2 shafts have ivory ferruls. Dont know if you would call it a true Hoppe, I guess it just has a Hoppe ring. It is ivory though.

And as far as posting a price, I always did in the past, but dont feel like the AZ police making posts on here with the opinion of price and changing the direction of the thread.

I was going to check out the weight bolt and see what it was like. Low and behold, the bumper that is on there was glued on. I guess he wanted to protect the bottom of it and glued one on. So this is a true Hoppe. I emailed Pete and hopefully he will be able to shed some light on this for me.

Email from Pete

"Hello David, Thanks for your interest in our cues?.I reviewed the photos you sent, and yes it is one of ours?I?m guessing built in the early to mid 1980?s?.The Brown fibre trim collars gives me a time frame of it?s construction, also the Black, White, Brown, White veneers with the Rosewood centers. Hope it?s still straight and sound?..A refinish with a new Linen wrap is $250.00 plus Shipping an insurance?Butt only?.Shafts can be anywhere from 25.00 for a clean up, to $50.00 each for a complete restoration and refinish?. Tips start at $20.00 (LePro) with pad, which is recommended if you have Ivory ferrules."

Hope this helps some of you.
