Didn't miss it by much. Hard to tell from the story, but how it's written makes it seem like roads near there may be flooded but the actual building may not be.

IIRC Indiana law no longer requires actual river connection for a casino. In the long run they'd be better off moving inland more.

Hopefully, the flooding is only the roads. Thing is, the convention center of the Horseshoe is closer to the river and on somewhat lower ground. It's also not part of the building that floats (unlike the casino portion).

Hopefully, its not as bad as it seems.

Instead they are investing a lot of money in moving the casino just off the boat and improving the food/meeting area. When the water gets five feet higher next year, maybe they will catch on.

From the picture in the article it looks like the road up to the door of the hotel is under water. I think what looks like a lake in the picture was the uncovered parking lot.

If I recall the layout correctly, the meeting areas are all up at least 10-15 feet from the water shown in the picture.

I didn't realize how big of a shitehole that place is.

How ever big you think it is, double it...saying that place is the only thing keeping the DCC alive is the biggest joke in the world. Greg’s making more money than ever and so is the Horseshoe, during that period. Its a match made in an outhouse 💩
