Now this right here would be a good thing, considering the current USD Exchange Rate.
30% or close depending. Trips would almost be free.
I have to get my Pass Port renewed and see if they will allow me back into the USA.
Had a tiny little problem at a Border Crossing one evening.
Was in my truck and received what they refer to as a "Direct Export". I then asked the Canadian Border Guard if they were going to let me back in to Canada.
He said, "I guess that we don't have a choice".

Deanoc throws it out there for a rally of sorts and, there is interest, I’ve seen it mentioned before, with a “yeah, that would be cool!” With most things that have destinations they require time, then, it is about location, location and location. The few places mentioned shows that there are places to go, for a few - - - from almost the four corners of the country – reality sets in on the actual ability for the wide range of travel for such a rally to happen. It would be great to just step out and shoot some with others here, but… so,
I’m thinking of a place, haven’t been up there in a couple years,
if,
a place for family,
down and out time,
space for tables – for use any hour of the day,
some organized play and the reason for this venture,
what about Branson?
It is in the middle of the country with other things to do for all; at least for most I would think, I’m not sure about any strip clubs, it is Missouri though.

Not sure if there is an Epicenter. Wasn't it Jim Wych, (SP), that recently opened a
new hall in Toronto. Other than that one in particular, many decent halls in the Downtown vicinity.
As far as being easy to book flights into Toronto or driving from the East Coast, it would be handy.
If Canada, or Toronto was picked, not saying that it has to be, quite a few Players in Toronto and surrounding area that I would bet would be willing to help with Logistics and such.
If I knew a bit in advance, I would book a cheaper West Jet Flight before the date.

I thinking that probably the best idea would be to work out who is serious about making the journey. From the try to agree on something centrally located for those who are going to attend. I would have no problem with going to Canada but I think it can take quite awhile to get a passport which I and I assume others may need to get before crossing the border.
I been wondering about this and how it could get accomplished.....it sounds like it could be a gas.......wouldn't it be cool to do this a couple of days before one of the regional cue shows? Imagine that after this soiree' ends, the following day the cue show would roll into town. It might become like a bunch of guys meeting every year before the Super Bowl.....what a cool tradition that might evolve into.
I'm interested but my availability is going to be limited til mid-year or possibly longer. I have to first see how this next surgery fares and if the past is any indicator, then I'm likely not done having them....after I find out what the outlook is on my shoulder post surgery, I'll know a lot more about my availability.

in vegas I could get the south west cue people to drop by
if mark griffin could arrange for us to use the pool room where something else is occuring too
will prout might have some ideas for the cue collectors to meet at the same time
the people with booths might add $$ to allow us to attract some entertainment
what I don't like about the tournaments is the lack of spectator involvement
instruction and exhibition
now,who wants to get somebody involved to put this together
we could sponsor a tournament,something like every state gets a champion,they play each other over the months to narrow it down to the last 4 ,who play it out here
something like an amateur event,with maybe $5000 to the winner,either one pocket or 14.1
then we need the players to inter act with us
