How About An AZB "Undercard" Match For A TAR Match?

i got an idea
since i use my name and face etc i cant list my top ten.
why dont the forum list who they perceive im referring too.
that way i can just set back and watch the butthurt carnage begin lol

OK AZBers, sounds like Justin is on board for this. I don't know how he'd like to go about who might play the undercard but... If you think you're a strong enough player, and a strong enough draw to attract more viewership - throw your name in the hat for Feb 15th or 16th (or both? Depends on what Justin would like). Come and get it!
I suspect you'll have to put some money on the light, possibly your first born or left nut, and risk whatever reputation you may have left.

Easy there killer. We wont be doing anything on or before the 15-17th. I am filming a super secret project in the days leading up to that match so the studio will be all tied up.
I am down for something if we get a match together for March or April which I am working on.
I would do the undercard match on a Thursday before a TAR match and stream it on Ustream. Move the pre match podcast to Wednesday. Maybe get one of the TAR match players to commentate on the AZB players.

Not sure why you'd commit yourself to an extra night's work tho. Additionally, my first thought would be if you aimed for a one hour long AZ Donkey match before the "real" TAR match, more people would hang and pay to watch the real TAR match.
I would love to see the guy play who said in a thread he cheats the pocket on 4 1/8" pockets with the cueball in the jaws and the ob in the center of the table straight in. I even asked him again about this and he said he had been doing that for years. Maybe I'm just a terrible player because I can't even imagine someone hitting this shot trying to cheat the pocket.
How about a Cj and Scott Frost match playing 10 ball?

The thing is that EVEN when people are shown to be low A or B players they always have excuses that don't change their attitude.
I was sick, the travel got me, the chatter sharked me, I am a working man and put in 24 hours yesterday.......and a lot of it is TRUE. But the fact that it's true doesn't register that these reasons ARE the reasons they can't ever reach the level of the pros they argue with.
I mean us amateurs can argue with each other about the best way to play all day and night, it's like two guys arguing about how to play basketball. But when a pro steps in and says, no guys it's like this then people should sit down and pay attention.
Anyway, I am totally willing to play anyone but have zero illusion about where my game is at. I know you and I disagree about nature and nurture in pool but that's the type of disagreement that world class scientists have as well so I don't think it's abnormal for us to disagree about it. What I do know is that you weren't born a world champion despite, you still had to work it to get to your level even if the raw talent was there from birth.
So put me down on the list even if I am not there because I will bet on my own arm against most people on this forum, in fact I would be confident to say that I would bet against 99% of the membership.....since that leaves about 400 people to choose whether I'd play or not based on our speed.
I might be a C player now but I could have a flashback and jump up to a B for a few games. Hope the TAR cushions are strong because I have been known to abuse them.
John, I don't think you'd need the 4" pockets -- regular Diamond pockets would be just fine for your purposes

BUT!!! If you're fortunate (or dumb) enough to play the TAR Donkey match, I think you should have to make an AZ post after every rack - ya know - something like detailing how you pivoted your right pectoral fin on the 7 ball.

I would be interested in playing a little under card match with Mark Griffin in one pocket, maybe a race to 4 or something. We are both in Vegas and it would be fun, keep it friendly and play for dinner and a bottle of booze. :grin-square:
