How About An AZB "Undercard" Match For A TAR Match?

lets not misunderstand what im saying.
im not saying everybody on here plays bad,or if you play bad i think u r a blowhard or or loser or something.
i think the top 10 im talking about the group would agree with me but again of course i wont list them as i actually use my name and face so i dont want to offend.
again its like this on every forum on the planet so im expecting it.

Just say it John, the whole AZ Billiards forum gets the 8! There are more people here who respect you guys who play pool professionally for your talent and who think highly of you then the haters club. I know some people want to see the players down and out because of the inferior feeling they get because they cannot play good pool. I think its kind of like Bert being jealous of Eddie having what he did not have and what money could not buy in The Hustler, you cannot buy talent. Be well and see you soon at Bonus Ball.

I'd like to see a warm up on thursday, of two young up and commers. Maybe see if Shuff will travel and play some one? Do it old school where the two entries put up there own dough.

I love anything that provides more TAR action!!!

I'd be happy to stink up the TAR table. I will spot Lou F. a ball in one hole for $100 a game and guarantee that I will be willing to lose up to $500 if he can take it.

Not sure why you are putting me in with Chris Banks but I don't play anonymous people.

If you can spot lou a ball ypu wont be stinkin up the table

I also would not mind playing iusedtoberich or Fatboy some even one pocket on the TAR table, does not matter what we play for, it can be a friendly bet. I think having AZ members playing a short race of something with a shot clock would be fun for people to watch and see how the people on here really play.

Well, if'n it is a battle of the donkeys, I will throw my hat in the ring. I am a C player, and I might stink it up on the TAR table, but I have a feeling a lot of people would watch me play a short race on the undercard with another 'lesser' player.. :-}

In all seriousness a good undercard match would be something with trash talkers. Get em out of retirement.
Something like this:

Keith McCready (vs) Tony Watson

Two good talkers, and both have always been fun to watch

I think it should be someone that we have never seen play on video before. I've already seen the way some of the shooters suggested shoot on their videos.

I didn't say I CAN spot him a ball I said I will spot him a ball. I don't think I can but it's worth it for me to try. And I know he won't play me because the barest chance that he could lose getting weight from me would be too much to bear for him.

So it's a completely safe hoo-rah woof. Given the chance I would play the game and record it but there is no way on Earth Lou will try it.

However as it stands right now I am ahead of Lou in one pocket, having beaten him even the one and only time we played. Was a little race to two but still, he lost. And back then I could not spell one pocket. Now a decade later I have barely learned how to spell one.

I agree 100%. I said in another thread that the OMGWTF vs. CUBC match was the greatest ever......joking of course but it was epic entertainment for us forum junkies.

John Schmidt sure does have a world class talent for letting comments out that get folks riled up. :-) And that's all off the cuff. I think you could be the next Minnesota Fats there Mr. 400.

Now everybody is wondering who John's top ten donkey players are. I might be off the list because John and I are friends but I am sure I am qualified.

Here is an idea for the Super Billiards Expo. GEt a table designated for AZB match-ups. Could be grudge matches, king-of-the-hill, action, play for money, pride, silly tasks, whatever, but it's all between AZers. Stream on 24/7

I might be on your list but I wouldn't hesitate to play a ring game with the other nine :-)

The thing is that EVEN when people are shown to be low A or B players they always have excuses that don't change their attitude.

I was sick, the travel got me, the chatter sharked me, I am a working man and put in 24 hours yesterday.......and a lot of it is TRUE. But the fact that it's true doesn't register that these reasons ARE the reasons they can't ever reach the level of the pros they argue with.

I mean us amateurs can argue with each other about the best way to play all day and night, it's like two guys arguing about how to play basketball. But when a pro steps in and says, no guys it's like this then people should sit down and pay attention.

Anyway, I am totally willing to play anyone but have zero illusion about where my game is at. I know you and I disagree about nature and nurture in pool but that's the type of disagreement that world class scientists have as well so I don't think it's abnormal for us to disagree about it. What I do know is that you weren't born a world champion despite, you still had to work it to get to your level even if the raw talent was there from birth.

So put me down on the list even if I am not there because I will bet on my own arm against most people on this forum, in fact I would be confident to say that I would bet against 99% of the membership.....since that leaves about 400 people to choose whether I'd play or not based on our speed. :-)

I might be a C player now but I could have a flashback and jump up to a B for a few games. Hope the TAR cushions are strong because I have been known to abuse them.

You might be a C player? I don't think I can go for that.

I would be interested in playing a little under card match with Mark Griffin in one pocket, maybe a race to 4 or something. We are both in Vegas and it would be fun, keep it friendly and play for dinner and a bottle of booze. :grin-square:

P.S. I play bad. If Mark mentions Alaska at all while we are playing I get ball in hand.

lol. Funny.

Since this rivalry was created from a disagreement in aiming, I think a game that showcases more shotmaking would be better suited.
