Here is a game posted by Dave Segal which tests how accurately you can place a mark. The ones that especially apply to us as pool players are the exercises in being able to create a right angle and find the center of a circle.

Maybe but I think that you can see some people are getting pretty close with average error scores of 1.6 - I think that the game serves to show each of us how well we can eyeball something.

I did a video a while ago where I did an eyeball experiment with Ghost Ball. The idea was to take a ball and place it on a piece of paper and then using a Sharpie to make dots all the way around it where the GB center should be.

I wanted to see how a player (me) with 25+ years of playing and studying pool could do. I was not impressed with my lack of ability to estimate the GB center.

You can screw up a good score on a misscue especially with center of triangle or convergence points, after 4 or 5 tries and yes I'm old:

Neat little game. I got 4.40 average but forgot to check the graph. The first one was the hardest for me, the parallelogram. I was also way off on the equidistant points of a triangle. Center of circle was 2.2, I was pleased about that one lol.
