How do you aim most of your kick shots?

Do you use a diamond/number system, another system or strictly by feel?

Thanks.

I use a combination of mirror image, diamond systems or just straight feel, but it all depends on how many rails I'm using and how the balls are laying.

Ya, lots of variables here. By sight for singles and usually doubles, but anything more than that I use a system I learned from a duck

I use many different diamond systems, spot on the wall extensions, etc. most of the time, with a combination of feel as well to compensate for speed, spin, type of hit, etc. The systems are great to know, but no substitute for feel and experience.

For one, and sometimes two rail kicks, I use the diamonds/parallel shift method.
For three and four rail kicks, it's more feel, although I do try to measure up the kick.

Poorly

I just look at it. I need to go to the Pinoy kick school if there was one. With all the different strokes, tables, cloth, English, shot speed that comes into play it's a wonder I can kick any thing. A good shooting friend of mine uses the diamond system and now that I have a 9' table i will look into the diamond system. I think I remember Reyes saying he just looks at the shot. If I could watch a video of some one consistently hitting 2 or more rail kick shots on several different tables using the diamond system I would buy it.

I learned a couple of tricks from Tor Lowry. Unfortunately, Tor doesn't post on AZ any longer but you can find him on his Face Book page by Tor Lowry or Zero X.

Pretty much every video that he posts is free.

He was a serious asset to AZB. Too bad the time that he did spend here was defending himself instead of lending a helping hand.

I do know which way he would have preferred it. Too bad this time. It was one long time poster and other Pros that ended up chasing him off.

But he is a great guy. If you have any questions for him, message him on FB and guaranteed, he will get back to you.

He is not like the other Pros that only show up when they have something to sell to the masses.

I use Tor's Zero X system, very easy to learn, best 8.95 I ever spent on pool stuff

Plus 2 which I learned from videos from Dr Dave and Bob Jewett. More than simply a kicking system, it also is a starting point for other things like shots with follow English.

Very simple to learn and very valuable.

I use a combination of a few approaches, feel, mirror, some basic diamond patterns and a whole lot of 'sometimes this goes as planned, why not now?'...

And then after you miss, squeeze the cushion with your hand to confirm it's playing dead, and then stare angrily at it while your opponent runs out from his ball-in-hand.

Works everytime.
