I thought the hand of God was soft, gentle, and loving.![]()
Describing a cue's hit without at least mentioning the type tip & hardness is misleading........
there's a lot of other technical considerations but the tip is the most conspicuous variable
to understanding anyone's answer and sans that info, it's pretty much is anyone's guess.

How does your cue hit??? If we get enough responses maybe this could be stickied!!
For all the players not fortunate to be able to try other cues for whatever reason. But would like to know how a cue hits before they spend money on something totally wrong for them. Please keep it generalized as I know the tip can make a change as well as other customization.
I will start with the few cues I know well.
McDermott G series with G core shafts 3/8 10 pin implex collar wood to wood. They are a soft muted feeling hit with a slight thud sound.
Schon cues with 5/16 14 pin in stainless with a Schon shaft. They have a very hard
solid hit. Very easy to feel through the hand. The sound is like clinking glasses.
Dufferin cues with 5/16 8 pins have a solid and slightly muted feel to them.
Predator Roadline with a Uni-loc pin and a 314-2 shaft. It to me has a medium hit with a medium feel through the hand. It has muted click sound.
Please add your thoughts on more cues. Jacoby,Joss, Mezz, Viking, Pechauer and all the others. Let's help other players that don't get a chance to try other cues.
Well personally I think I would put meucci some where in the top 5 .
I have always like Jacoby and have met Dave a couple times , super nice person..
I have always liked a Pechauer too .
Like the old Mali's and McDermott's , but I repaired a McDermott not to long ago .
The handle and but sleeve was plastic and it had a 8.5 weight bolt in it .
Most people speak highly of a Mezz and Schon.
