How good are you?

I'm a "6" in the tap league which goes up to a "7" rating. My record was 7-2 last session where I have to spot games to lower rated players. The most games of 8 ball I've broke and ran in a row in league play is 3. So what would you say my usppa score would be?

Just Curious.

P.s. I was rated a 4 with a losing record 5 years ago and am enjoying my constant improvement as I learn more and more shots and discover more and more revelations. I love this game!

We are pretty close, just a difference in shipping. :) He is firm on me paying shipping on top (which is understandable), and I just want my shipping included..i dunno..will see how much shipping is, if it is very expensive..then might just wait for another SW plain jane to swing around.there are one or two every 2 months.
 
Well let see. Sometimes I shoot good, other times very good, there are days when I shoot okay, but there are those other days when I shot not so good.

Based on that description where would I be in the USPPA rating?

I'm a better player than I ever dreamt of being, but not nearly as good a player as some are kind enough to suggest.
 
I must be the best in the world. I certainly act like it when I miss a shot or lose a game. How could I have possibly been not perfect??lol

I think I'm pretty good, but I think most people think they are better then they actually are. I think others have a higher expectation of me also. I hate it when people say "I cant believe you missed that shot". In reality, I miss shots like that all the time. :rolleyes:
 
I really don't know, I play in leagues two nights a week for about 7 games each night. I played a lot more before I got married. Been married 7 years with kids. I carry about a 8-9 average in league play (that does not say a whole lot). I will say this, when I go to the state tourney (the only tournament I really play the whole year) I can hold my own. I gamble with just about anyone(there's a few really strong players I stay away from on heads up action) I'll play in any ring game 5/10, 10/20 on the 5 or 9(10) with anyone. It just take me sometime to get back into stroke. It's just really tough to rate myself on a everyday basis.
 
Yes, it's those misses that lower my score as well.
Alot depends on the situation, I think most people play better when the competition is tougher. Makes you focus. Whereas, when just out at the bar for a cool one I tend to be more casual.
 
I am absolutely terrible.

I couldn't make a ball in the ocean with wet sand between my toes.

People shouldnt base their opinion of peoples skill level on flattery from friends or family. Base it on what you can do on the table and who you can BEAT consistantly.
