SL 7 here. Can't beat anyone, though.

I think the average player on here is very good by your standards, if you think SL 7 makes you a top-end player.

<<<< another scrub 7....quietly checking in. I agree, apa ranks mean very little.

Holy cow am I Inconsistent, sometimes I have played so well people think I'm sandbagging or robbing, playing great position, making tough shots and next thing you know I look like an idiot blowing a straight in shot. Seriously, sometimes people think I do it on purpose, but for what? It's kinda funny, I'm not in the APA right now, never gamble and lose in tournaments, who am I setting up...lol

My main problem is still position play/speed control as in I often make great shots only to safe myself. I don't get it, concentration? second guessing?

So I'm still just a D player

Yeah, I'm ready

That's what that white ball is. What do we do with it?

:sorry:I didn't play for 28 years. After weeks of practice, I entered a Hardtimes, Bellflower, Ca '1st Sunday of month' tournament. I won the flip. I was nervous. I broke and rolled the shaft over the CB and trapped it beneath the shaft about half way up the shaft. TWICE!!

I apologized to my opponent and broke down my cues and snunk out of Hardtimes.

It has only gotten worse since then. Think I'll take another extended break from the game.

Hmmmm....

The first liar doesn't have a chance 'round here....

I probably shouldn't have voted seeing as I have no idea what those ratings mean (I'm from Canada and don't play competitively).

All I know is that some days I can't run 3 balls, and other days I can string 3 racks. It really depends on which day you catch me on. :)

Not sure APA is the best measuring stick. I've played a total of 3 matches and I'm a 6 already, and I'm a banger.
