how many cues do you own?

Now Martin has 85 cues and so does Ivacafranic.........Martin apparently has 4 favorites because those cues have been chalked and are not for sale. So asking Martin how he chooses what cue to play with isn't a hard question since I'm basically in the same boat with my 4 cues......but how do you decide which cues to play with when you own 85? And to think I thought I had it tough deciding which cue which is why I got a 6x12 case......but I now see my dilemma is pale in comparison with others.

This yr I had at most 4 at once in my possession
And like having more than one guitar at a time I never liked having to choose
Just felt wrong to me letting the other sit
So I gave up on collecting them and decided to just have 1 carom cue and 1 pool cue
For play

Im a simple guy
I just keep it simple

I've been playing pool for right at a year and I own 2 custom Jacoby, a custom Diveney, cognoscenti, 1972 Josswest, custom Scott Erwin, Chad McLennan conversion cue, predator 8k4, and a BK2 break cue. and others that I've recently sold, Jerry terbrock, Richard neighbors, Erwin, varner. Too many to try to keep up with.

I also own a Jerry Rauenzak Brunswick 360

Really nice South West Cue that was made with the Jerry Rauenzahn blank for the 360

When a few others that i have on order get here,I plan to sell all but one

At my age the time finally came to start acting sensible,

Of all the cues I have owned the south West 360 is my favorite

This thread is so old, I don't even remember if I have posted in it yet.

I quit counting when I got to 500, Wifey used to have a problem with so much lumber.

C'mon now. Extract some of those hens teeth...

I think I'm down to 7 now:

1. Brunswick Titlist full-splice conversion by Mike Pancerny, of Detroit in 2011. One Pancerny shaft and a Pancerny custom matched Predator 314-2 FAT shaft from a blank. My main shooter at the moment.

2. Brunswick Titlist full-splice conversion by A. E. Scmidt, Co., of St Louis. I bought it new on May 26, 1973. Have two original shafts and having another made by Scot Sherbine, of Proficient Billiards, where the cue currently is for refinishing, refurbishing, and rewrapping.

3. McDermott C-14 that I bought new in 1985. One original shaft and a new shaft made when it was sent to McDermott for refinish and rewrap a couple years ago. Still mint.

4. McDermott RS-11 from 1996 with original shaft and a Meucci PRO shaft. Bought this cue from C. J. Wiley. It was the cue he used in the 1996 Million Dollar Challenge tournament to beat Earl Strickland in the final match. Earl ran the 11 racks and won the million dollars in a match played the day before.

5. Adam JAPAN Hall of Fame (HOF) Model CS-436 (Balabushka copy with no signatures or logos) with original shaft. Mint condition.

6. Players Rosewood Sneaky Pete with a LePro tip that I use for breaking.

7. Cuetec cheapy with a White Diamond tip that I use for breaking.

How many does it hold? Who made it?

Collecting Is On Hold.........Stupid CA Ivory Ban

It's entirely of because of CA's laws & my personal cue design standards that my collecting is curtailed.

I would continue adding cues but alas, 'tis not possible unless I attend a Las Vegas Cue Show, speaking
of which I have very little knowledge never having prior attended it. I remain steadfast in my hope of adding
a matching Hercek cue to my collection and that appears to be my best shot. Does anyone happen to know
which are the best cue shows held in Las Vegas and 2017 dates?

Matt B.

I have gone through 150+ cues in my life.

I am at a point to when I acquire the 12
or dirty dozen on my list I will
be done with this nonsense.

So far I have 6 of them, with 4 more as
confirmed orders, and 2 non-confirmed orders.

I am two batches out according to Joel Hercek
whom I ordered from in 2006

My Southwest will get started 2-2017 according
to Laurie Franklin whom I ordered from in 2005

My Ed Prewitt will be finished sometime in 2018
according to Ed Prewitt

My Josh Treadway will be finished towards
the end of this year.

I have no idea if I will get my Ginacue or the
Murray Tucker I have tried to order from both
of these cuemakers.

How many does it hold? Who made it?

It was a case for a portable display as might be used at a trade show.

Right now I just use it to store cues in simple cases, 1x1 and 1x2.

I am planning to make some removable boards like this: http://www.jbcases.com/chris-dealercase.html

Or perhaps I will just buy some of these from JB.

I don't know how many it will hold, and I haven't counted how many cases are in there right now.

Maybe it will end up 15x30? Not sure, need to measure. Definitely bigger than the 10x20 JB made.

You do remind me to get back to that project though....

Heres mine from JB... Just buy the sleeves from John. They are really nice. With that size you should order 10 to 12 id guess to start. Each holds 2 butts and 4 shafts. Even that might not be enough for that behemoth..:)

Whats the diameter of the inside?

Excellent. Yes, I should probably just buy them. But I was thinking of some variation that might be an improvement. Still thinking about it.

I don't remember the diameter. I'll have to measure it. JB is great, I'll bet if I just give him the diameter he'll tell me exactly how many to order. Definitely the easiest solution.

Incidentally, this case has a nice closed cell foam pad in the bottom already, about a half inch thick.

I grabbed it a a flea market. I think I paid 10 bucks for it.
