Boys & girls...
...while eagerly wanting for my new Parris to arrive, last night I spoke with my mom who again asked "How many cues do you actually need..?!" So I was wondering the same, how many cues do people here "need"..?

Well, this could be two seperate posts. You asked, "how many cues do you own", and also "how many cues do you actually need". Most AZer's answer for the first question will probablly be much more then the second. As for me, I need 100 and only have about 5. I need to try them all and find one that actually makes me play good! ;)
 
Let's see, I have a 12x24 case that's full. Two 2x4's that are full, and a 4x8 that's almost full.
The 20x20 case is on it's way to save the day.

viking v2h, varney j/b, varney hustler, hampton beater cue, josey s-01, and in about 3 weeks I'll own an ariel carmeli :)

I'll need to sell the viking and hampton to make room for the carmeli though. I've got two ob-1's coming that will need a comfy home.
 
How about 10

2 Schmelkes, 2 McDermotts, Viking, Meucci, Dominiak, J & J J/B, Joss, and a Josswest. I want more. :D
 
Right now about 100....but soon as I finish building them they'll be going to new homes.:D
 
Over 10

3 9Ball, Audrick, Lucasi and a Jump/break (I'm saving up for a Dominiak)
3 Snooker, Peradon, Wilson-Hunt and a old Riley (a Mike Woolridge is on order)
7 snooker cues being prepped for sale (always varies between 3 and 10)
(+ a couple more my wife doesn't know about;) )

I have a few, But I only use one cue to play with, I useualy break with a house cue, if Im on home turf, out and about I always take another cue to break with.

None of my cues are Super High end, the most expense cue I have was given to me, when I ran two racks of one hole on a guy I didnt know, he wanted my name and address, so I though you know he is gong to look me up for another match, but he sent me a nice cue.. I dont use it, but its really nice. I couldnt sell a cue that was given to me, so please dont ask..

Well, the "need question" was more like a rhetorical "question" to paraphrase my disillusioned mom, hence, I put it in quotes -- i.e., "need" meaning the cues you already own ;^)

I have a "quorum" of cues. This means that I finally have enough that my wife no longer notices if I buy or sell one.:)

I didn't expect to see so many AzB'er having 8 or more cues... and it's also funny that almost no one owns 7 cues, or just a single one.

I am one of two that has 7 cues..

1- Jacoby Custom I play with
2- Predator Sneaky Pete that was used before
3- My first Sneaky Pete that is also is my first stick I ever won in a tourney
4- My Player Sneaky Pete I use pretty much 75% of the time (away)
5- My first "real stick" Alison Fisher white cutec
6- My very first stick awesome $20 walmart special , still love it
7- Muecci Sneaky Pete ( I once collected Sneaky Pete's but decided to sell them.. This is my last one that will be sold, and the guy is picking it up next week for christmas, so I"ll soon be down to 6..

I also have a jump cue, but I don't ever use it anymore. and don't really count it.

Hmmm, maybe no one wanted to vote that they hate sex? :D

Cuebacca <--- Hates anything that takes away from pool time, but doesn't own 7 cues. :p
