How many pool players are there on the globe?

Considering China, people who play pool regularly, I'd say a 100 million.
As far as pro-caliber players who play pool full-time as a profession, I would guesstimate there are about 5,000 serious professional pool players in the world.
This is why leagues and recreational pool is where the money is.

Well, by my count, there are about 45 pool players in the world. But there are a whole bunch of us bangers out there.

The OP likes to ask silly questions. as well as put forth novel ideas that are too advanced for the people of this forum to grasp fully so we are merely reduced to mocking him instead of seeing him for the prophet of poor playing that he really is.
But I like to answer those with loads of irony and sarcasm and disdain, so it's a symbiotic relationship that works.
To answer him to the best of my ability, last time I counted, I saw about 45,003,450 people playing pool, 67,549 were currently in a tournament, 1,343,320 were in a league match.. wait, 6 just finished so we're at 1,343,314 league players now. 675 were Pro level players, but that only counts those that are awake at the time of this post. To further break things down, 34 of those players are playing in a room shared by a goat, 564 are using ivory balls, 4,356 secretly are planning to air barrel the person they are gambling with and 17 are sleeping with their opponent's wife.

How many poolkillers are there currently in the world? How many of them post as push&pool and are the rest just recreational morons?

Simple and Impossible To Answer are the same thing I guess. The answer is "lots". The other question is "how many are actually pool players that play several times a week, and how many have just played maybe 20 times in their lives".
You should watch the show Kitchen Nightmares, you will associate well with the restaurant owners Ramsay tries to help. A top chef tells them that their place is junk and the food is bad, yet they all just say "no it's not, my food is great!", right up to when they show the customers saying how bad everything is. Even then some say that it's the customers that are wrong.
I only asked for statistical information. I didn't ask you to name me every single pro and banger out there. If such data isn't available, you could've just said so...
