How many years?

I started playing on a home table when I was 8 yo and I'm 67 now. So that's 59 years, subtract a few lay-offs and I'd have to say 50+ years. Johnnyt
Thanks Johnnyt I knew that you have been around the game for awhile and are now getting back into it again. You are inspiring to many of us.

A little older.

In 1948, I was 14 when I started cleaning spitoon's (for free time) in Fred Titus' pool room in Durango, Colo. By the time I was 16, I was the best player in town. (pop. about 9,000 then)
So I guess we're looking at 60 years of wild times. Loved 'em all.

Dick

Your a little older than me and I have to say I have never had a job like that. But I can identify with a 14 yr old becoming obsessed with this game. I started at 11 and it's still there, thank God!

Thank you for the kind words. I use to inspire the cops to follow me around a lot. Never figured out why;) . Johnnyt

30 years, since I was 16. Had a couple of long breaks where I didn't play much but never quit completely. I think I've played in a league of some form or other for at least 25 years.

Seems like Yesterday

 About 34 years. Only a student of the game the last four years. I love the game but have always had a full time job plus so my skill level does not reflect that time period. I'm the best D player you'll ever lay eyes on.

Played a little in high school 63-67 then nothing til i started going to a strip club in Bridgeport (Rubys II?) in maybe 82-83 for a couple of years very sparingly then nothing til 91 when i wandered into PR-stayed there every night for years and that is where i met for the first time anyone who could play and learned a little something. So i really only consider ive been playing since then-17 years
