Reeves doesn't make budweiser cues. Liar. I told you, i won mine in a tourney. I beta TravisTrotter in the finalsthanks

Schon

I play with a beautiful Schon Ltd made in 2000, I guess I got it for about $1100, I use several shafts depending on conditions and the game I'm playing, but the past two or so years, it has mainly been the OB1. I am a fan of others also, the Predator and Tiger being two others I love...I like the soft feel of the OB a lot though. My break cue was one of the XBreakers when it was being made by the fabulous Samsara cue makers. :) There is such wonderful craftspeople in the cue industry it is a true match between art and science. (thanks for opening my eyes Tony)

my playin cue, a Gina, around $4500. Custom Murnak case $4000.

is your murnak the one with the gina symbol and snakewood styled points? that's an awesome looking case...

Mine was for $200, a Joss Limited from early 90s that I got for that thanks to some mixed up pricing at Boston Billiards. Think it was $500 or 600 real retail or so at the time. Only cue I have really used for some 15 years.

cue cost

Hmm. I'm probably going to regret revealing this to myself.

McDermott: my first cue over 20 years ago, can't remember the model but always remembered what I spent - $267
Meucci 84-4: $320
Meucci DH-2: $350 (ret. $600?)
Meucci PP demo: $220 (ret. $290)
Meucci HP-3: $350 (ret. $450)
Nick Varner J/B cue: $57 (don.t know)
Stealth J/B cue: $65 (don't remember)
Audrick Custom: $135 (ret. $180, I think)
Joss (older model as yet unidentified): $160
Pechauer custom: $300 (ret. $1080)

Plus three that I can't remember what I paid or what they would retail for. The other four that I got as gifts don't count, right?

"But I saved over a thousand dollars!" - what my ex-wife would say here.:clapping:

Chump change compared to some, I supppose.

If we're only talking about players, my primary cue(s) are the Meucci DH-2 and the Pechauer. Everything else is either in storage or in the bullpen.

My cues are all built by Alpha Cues. A friend of mine here in town. And although they cost me nothing, I'd value my playing cue at about a $1000. Break cue about $400 and my extra cue at about $600. Mike has taken good care of me the last 10 years or so. I love the cues he built for me, they hit as good as anything I ever picked up. I have 1 shaft with yellow micarta, one ivory, 2 hard fiber, with Moori tips on all but 1. I have a 314 shaft with a hard Moori I use to break with. 2 shafts with phenolic tips for my jump cue or break cue.

My Pam Anderson cue cost me $12 and plays better than I do...

Yes. It is an exact replica of the nose of my cue. The case contains inlays into the leather and the veneers are carved, not a patch. The case is also interesting in that the cues 2x4 are in a "U" formation. 2 buts at the bottom of the bend, and 2 shafts on each side in the "arms" of the "u". The void on the inside, is storage space accessed by zippers, creating "inside" pockets. I hate any outisde protrusions on a cue case. Besides looking sloppy, they always tend to get caught on everything. The hinge for the lid was also a design marvel, because I didn't want anything on the outside of the case to be visible.

I own a bunch of whitten cases (garbadge) and also some other big name brands, and besides a few very subtle differences they all practically look the same. I wanted something different. Murnak also has the best quality, IMO.

Anyway, thanks for the compliment.

My Jerry Olivier is $2,800.00 Ebony and Ivory, my Schon is $800.00 and my McDermott[sp] is $450.00---Smitty

My playing cue is a 2006 Turner. It cost me $376 in 2006 which included the price of the OB-1 partial shaft.

I paid 100 for my meucci. Retail is somewhere around 500. Pre dot shaft looking for a 5/16 x 18 predator shaft for an upgrade. Shoots well though. Its got me over 50 in straight.

Very Classy Cue, Vinnie ...

Over the past few years, I have grown more fond of wrapless Cues constructed of beautiful wood, accented with tasteful ringwork ... and nothing more ...

You did good, Vinnie ..... Nice Cue at a great price ...

My friend bought a custom made Dave Whitsell for $700 with 2 shafts. I bought it off her for $200. Killer deal, cause it hit's GREAT. I also have a preditor that I bought at the same time. It hit's way to stiff for me so for the time being, it is occupying space in my case:).
